Bala's Bistro Reviews
My husband and I agree that this is some of the most delicious food we’ve ever eaten in our lives. Everything is fresh and delicious, great variety
The food was amazing!!! Thanks
My best friend and I stopped in for lunch and had an amazing experience! The gentleman that helped us took his time to go through the menu items with us since it was our first time. I had chicken and my friend had the snapper, both were delicious! Highly recommend, also very clean restaurant.

Bala's Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with its vibrant and spicy African-inspired cuisine. The restaurant features a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and meat-based options, including the popular jollof rice with vegan curry and jerk chicken. Customers praise the generous portions, decent prices, and the overall quality of the food. The cafe is no frills, but the food more than makes up for this, with clearly marked vegan options that are plentiful. The peanut stew and plantain are particularly delicious, and many visitors find themselves returning regularly for the amazing flavors.
The restaurant is known for its authentic West African flavors, with a menu that caters to both meat-eaters and vegans. Diners can indulge in perfectly cooked red snapper, accompanied by black-eyed peas and fragrant jollof rice, or opt for vegan jollof rice with saka saka and maafe. The buffet style allows guests to try a variety of dishes, and the service is described as sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the place is nice and clean. Overall, Bala's Bistro is a hidden gem worth exploring for those seeking an authentic taste of African heritage, with a strong recommendation for the vegan peppered curry and fried sweet plantains.
