We did not eat but had a few drinks. Bartenders was very nice and knowledgeable about drinks. They have a great happy hour and I would miss it.
Atmosphere was cozy. The location on the map is not quite right. It’s down an ally. I requested to change it on Google.
Great place to check out

It is a cute place with a relaxed atmosphere. Service is attentive and fun. They had good mixed drinks but pretty pricy. The biggest drawback was my undercooked food. And I was charged full price.

Hidden Gem of downtown Memphis.
I almost don't want to to tell ya'll how good it is cause I know it will blow up! The steak is perfect. Smash burgers have more burger than bun. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Truffle fries?! The cocktails are good too. Reasonably priced. Brie offers exceptional service and recommendations.

Glad we chose this place for dinner and drinks. Great spicy margarita. Small but well executed food menu that caters for vegetarians too. Space has a lovely open feel, good music (not too loud) and staff friendly.
Take note, entrance is on Barboro Alley NOT Union St - where Google maps will take you. This was a bit confusing and we nearly decided to go somewhere else trying to find it.

Great atmosphere --looks like a hole in an alley wall, then you get inside and find a cool whiskey bar.

I got the General Tso's Cauliflower and from the first bite it became one of my favorite dishes in all of Memphis. The coconut milk mixed perfectly with the rice, and, topped with the cauliflower, was a perfect mix. It was not at all spicy like I expected, but that's faint criticism, because this dish killed me.

Quite old-school tavern tucked back in an alley. Limited menu, but the Smashburger and fries were fantastic.

Amazing sweet potato hash, and sautéed spinach. This place almost made me a vegetarian … but even the pan fried chicken was amazing.

Belle Tavern in Memphis offers a delightful experience with its shared kitchen with a steakhouse, ensuring excellent quality dishes. The steak frites were cooked to perfection, complemented by crisp truffle fries that were simply delicious. The ambiance, reminiscent of a cozy English pub, provides a charming and inviting atmosphere. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the overall experience, although it’s worth noting that a 20% gratuity is added to the bill, which was not mentioned by the staff beforehand. Despite this minor oversight, Belle Tavern is a great spot for enjoying high-quality food in a relaxed setting.
