“Superb spot in downtown Memphis. The staff are super kind and friendly, the coffee strong and tasty. I got the Canadian Tux with oat milk — delicious!

Note: There is a negative review on here pointing out the temporary tariff charge. Welcome to reality — where tariffs are, for obvious reasons, directly impacting consumers because, believe it or not, that’s how tariffs work! Please do not blame small businesses when they have to pass the cost on to us, the customers, because of our administration’s questionable trade policies. Just because they put it as a separate line item instead of embedding it directly — they’re not “proving a point” — they’re simply educating consumers on the direct impact of policies that people have voted for. That said, we must SUPPORT our small businesses at all costs!“

“A cold December morning in Memphis (a native Chicagoan would have called it brisk), sent me on a search for a coffee that would make me miss my wife and newborn son a little less; it would not just perk me up, but also provide the warmth I was longing for from my better half and put a smile on my financial advisors face.

As I walked away from a place where dreams were assassinated, I found myself on a street less than ordinary. The establishment I was in search of would have been missed if it was for my GPS telling at me that I had arrived. The only sign was on the sidewalk and could easily be missed it a car were strategically parked in front of it.

The storefront was unassuming and I thought I was in the wrong place, but when I opened the door, I noticed the counter inside a large boutique.

Her smile and greeting started to fought the cold that wanted to stick to me. Sadie (I hope it was the common spelling) was her name.

I looked over the menu on the counter, which she proudly said she creates herself and wanted to order everything, but I asked for something that would make me feel...Mom, and I hugged myself. A couple questions and suggestions later I decided on the Campfire.

It checked all the boxes. Why would anyone choose Novadollars over this place?

Sadie was like someone you would read about in a magical fiction, mixing just the right amount of warmth, care, and kindness into something that was sold as coffee.

“Since this place is nextdoor to Reese's BBQ I decided to try it. What caught my eyes were the pictures of the different foods and desserts they have to offer. Once you get inside you will noticed how clean the place is. Not only you can buy foods and desserts, but you can also buy teddy bears, toys, and flags. The lady that was serving me was nice and patient with me. I described to get a Strawberry cheesecake flavor milkshake. It was what I needed for a hot day!“

“The Dixon is a Memphis treasure not to be missed. Wonderful art exhibits and a fabulous garden with rotating events for the entire family.“

“I was there for a private party. Not sure if it's a actual lounge or an event center. But it's quite large with two rooms. One has a bar and what looked like a dance floor. The second room was slightly smaller but was more than ample for the party of fifty. Could have had better lighting. I would recommend it to someone needing a nice place for a get together.“
