My husband and I came to Casa Mexicana at Winchester and Houston Levee, Rd in Collierville for a nice relaxing dinner after a long day of work. Ask for Isabelle to be your server. She is fantastic!! She recommended the Casa Mexicana margaritas, cheese dip and shrimp tacos. We loved the service and the food was delicious. Isabelle made us feel welcome and appreciated from the minute we sat down at the bar for dinner! Come to Casa Mexicana today!!

TL;DR: Salsa is mediocre, but everything else is great. Don't expect anything to be spicy though.The salsa is a little bland, but this may make it more approachable for people who don't like cilantro or prefer less peppery salsa.I highly recommend the Quesabirria. Its consomme not as spicy as I'd like, but it's a great introduction to Birria. It's served with rice and cilantro/onions on the side.My father ordered the steak fajitas. He noted it was higher quality steak than he normally sees.My wife enjoyed steak/chicken nachos, and my daughter ordered a chicken and cheese plate.Service was quick and attentive. I couldn't ask for more as my drink was never empty.

Food is great. Every single time I come here though, I have to wait 20+ minutes for the check. If it takes 20 minutes to ring up a bill, that’s fine, but please start creating it when I get my food. Not when I finish. Waiting around 20+ minutes AFTER I am done with my food is very annoying.

The worst Mexican food I've ever had! The tacos looked like they been run over by a steamroller and had no flavor and I when I got home I discovered the two sides I ordered weren't even included in the takeout order but I got charged for them. Never going the again, very disappointing experience.

I’m giving it two stars because I basically was ripped off. I was feeling generous and gave our waiter a tip, but he didnt bother telling me he charged us for a 6% tip on receipt already. So basically, took double the tip from us. No wonder our bill was higher than normal. Anyway now we don’t trust these people. Or at least won’t tip them lol. The food was fine though.
