I always have great meals here. The food is delicious, breakfast here is my absolute favorite. A Memphis institution! There is always something for everyone and the wait staff makes you feel right at home.
I ordered chicken, I got fish. I ordered black eyed peas and they were barely cooked. I had fried okra (very good) and mac-n-cheese which was so so. I ordered iced tea and didn't receive it until I reminded my server and got it to go. I've eaten here before and it was much better. I guess the peas is what got me most.
Me and my family ate here on October 9th, 2025. We entered and was seated in about 1-2 minutes. We waited for about 3 minutes and our waitress came up, she got our drinks and asked if we was ready for our orders to be taken we said yes and went off. She got us some cornbread and rolls to eat before our order came. We got our food about 10 minutes after and it came out hot.
