Recent Reviews

The service was a bit slow, we had to ask another staff member to get our server. The food came out fast, on a robot before the server could make it back again. The food was not really hot or flavorful. The ceviche was not served in glass as shown on the menu, it was served on plate and it was not fresh, no lime juice whatsoever. I get not wanting it to "overcook" but without some lime juice and salt it's just bland. The guacamole was bland too. My carnitas could...

I've been to this restaurant many times over several years, even through it's location changes within the Poplar Plaza. Service has always been pretty mediocre but I have noticed a clear bias between how certain patrons are seated in the restaurant ? The drinks are good but overpriced and the unnecessary gratuity fee is enough to visit other restaurants of better quality.

The El Superior chef specialty is absolutely amazing. Tender, flavorful chicken packed into a nice tortilla full of spice. Think chips and terrifically thick queso. The Maya Mango Margarita is a great twist on a classic but could use a few more ounces of liquor. The table service was way better than most and the hostesses are very welcoming. This fully Mexican environment makes this whole place that much better. Although, the price is a little higher than most of these type establishments...
