The name insinuates that it's a family environment, sit in type of restaurant. Actually, it's more of a run in and run out style restaurant. The owner of the old Cheesecake corner has opened this quaint little place in honor of his mom. I can only rate the desserts (not the food). That's why I rated it a 4. The blueberry cheesecake is quite tasty. It's not made with Philadelphia cream cheese. It has more texture but it's fabulous! Warm the brownie for 15 secs and is every bit of dilectable in every bite! For people taking a walk in the neighborhood, it's a spot to stop in and pick up a quick throat guzzling beer or water. I'm not a chicken and waffle kinda girl but I suggest you stop by and try it.

This place was a short walk from our hotel room so we opted to have dinner here on our last night in town. We walked on in and the employee quickly came inside to greet us.I had looked over the menu online so I had set my mind on ordering a half chicken but he informed me they no longer offered it. I looked over the menu again and I decided on ordering the chicken salad waffle sandwich and it came with chips and fruit. My sister had the order of chicken wings and we got a side of mac and cheese, two drinks, and a slice of cheesecake. We sat down and waited for our food. It didn't take too long for it to be ready and the very friendly employee brought it to our table. The chicken sandwich was pretty good but it got soggy very fast so it got messy as the waffle kept crumbling. The chicken breast itself tasted really good and the sandwich was stuffed. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The chicken wings were the best ones we've had in a minute! They were juicy, crispy. and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was also delicious. It was hot and cheesy. We decided to eat the cheesecake back in the room since we were super stuffed after we ate all our food. I quickly noticed that it smelled funky as I opened it and it had an overpowering cheese smell. My sister took her first bite and she made a disgusted face. I then proceeded to try it and I did not like it one bit. It definitely did not taste like regular cheesecake or to what we are used to. This was not good.Overall our dinner was good and the service was great. Both guys that were working were friendly and provided great service. I would so come back for some more chicken wings and mac and cheese! Try them out!!

Atmosphere is nice. Very cozy. Very welcoming, almost homey even though it was our first time. There is limited seating however; they have outside seating and it would be an awesome space if warmer. They made the most with the space provided. The menu is concised but with enough variety. The food was great, well seasoned, well proportioned and very filling. Servers were awesome; brought the food, kept checking on us, and even gave us free water. For a dinner of two, you’ll spend $50 for a filling meal with enough for a to-go box. The cheesecake corner is a great end to a meal if you still have space. For $6 a slice, again huge slices, you can really bump up the score to a 9/10 ($20)

The BEST wings we've ever had. Skin is crisp and meat is juicy. Highly recommend the house rub on the wings. Delicious!

Such a cozy, little place, and I do mean little. I've been wanting to stop in and try the place, so we finally got around to it. I had the waffle pizza and was disappointed. First, there was nothing pizza about it. Please change the name to the loaded waffle, that would be more accurate. If it was described as such, I would not have expected the traits of a pizza. The waffle is really soft, so you certainly can't pick it up as one would with a pizza and there was no base sauce just cheese that didn't compliment the sweetness of the waffle, chicken, bbq sauce, and a load of other peppers and such. A waffle on a pizza pan with a bunch of stuff does not constitute a pizza at all. The service was okay, and there was a nice vibe in the place, so we'll likely return to try something else. The wings looked good, so I should have followed my first mind there. My husband had the wrap, which seemed to be dark meat, and he said it wasn't very seasoned either. All in all, it was an experience, so no regrets, and I'd recommend giving them a try. The guy next to us seemed to really enjoy the "pizza".

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic black-owned restaurant in Memphis, TN, and I can't stop raving about it! From the mouthwatering chicken and waffles to the delectable cheesecakes, this place truly knows how to satisfy your taste buds. The chicken and waffles are simply outstanding. The perfectly crispy, succulent chicken paired with fluffy, golden waffles is a match made in food heaven. The blend of sweet and savory is a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. It's no exaggeration to say that this place serves the best chicken and waffles in Memphis. But that's not all. The cheesecakes here are a dessert lover's dream. Creamy, rich, and with just the right amount of sweetness, they melt in your mouth, leaving you in pure bliss. It's evident that the chef, Kevin, puts his heart and soul into each dish, and it shows. The atmosphere in this restaurant is incredibly relaxing. It's the perfect spot for a laid-back meal or a special occasion. The cozy, welcoming ambiance makes you feel right at home, and the decor adds to the overall charm. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. Their genuine hospitality enhances the overall dining experience and makes you want to come back again and again. In a city known for its culinary delights, this black-owned restaurant shines as a hidden gem, and it's a must-visit for anyone in or passing through Memphis. So, if you're in the mood for the best chicken and waffles in town, and some of the most delicious cheesecakes you've ever tasted, look no further. This place has it all – outstanding food, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

My out-of-town trio had the excellent garlic parm wings and praline pecan chicken and waffles. Great food and beautiful presentation! Top notch hospitality - Chef Kevin and Marco went out of their way to make sure we had a delicious meal. I've never been treated better at a restaurant. A go-to destination for my next Memphis trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience Chef Kevin.

Our new favorite Memphis spot. The chicken & waffles are easily the best we've had! The service and ambience was A-1. Then we had the cheesecake ? if you're on a diet, you need to lower your level of give a damn and enjoy a couple of slices of heaven! We'll definitely be back each Memphis visit. Thank you for your attention to detail with the Cocoa butter lotion in the bathroom, gotta stay moisturized with the good stuff.
