Chicken and waffles are the best

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich medium spice with a side salad and peach cobbler. I am typically an omnivore that would order a side of fries but decided to challenge that norm and get a little healthy eating with the salad. HOLY COW. Is it normal to have cornbread croutons in salads here in Memphis? In Tennessee?? In the south??? That was a pleasant surprise. And that alone made the food a five stars for me. Why is the salad advertised more?! It even had black eyed peas in it.
The fried chicken sandwich is pretty standard across the trend of restaurants that sell crispy fried chicken sandwiches. Medium spice level was bordering mild spice level (more of a tickle, than the feeling of being put in an uncomfortable situation).
Peach cobbler was pretty good. Part of me wishes there was a little more fat, or butter in the dessert. But at the same time it felt like if there was any more fat added, it would be too rich in taste.
But that salad. I’m going to go soul searching for them croutons salads here, or come back to Hattie B’s for the salad. No dressing needed. Just the salad.

Straight up the best chicken I have had. I come from NYC and the chicken is delicious. There is nothing like this in the northeast.
The server talked me through the menu, made a couple of recommendations and he was spot on. I would come back anytime I come through Memphis

Everything was perfect. It makes all the difference when the people are smiling and then the food is perfect. I would move in next door and eat at Hattie B’s on the days that end with “y”.
I been sleeping on Hattie Base because I'm not a fame of spicy but I must say that was absolutely amazing and better than Gus's. The flavor was mind blowing the tenders were well done and juicy, the greens were seasoned well but not tender enough but still good. Will continue my chicken cravings at Hattie B's

Food was great. It was packed when we came in so it took a little longer than usual. But service was great and the food was worth the wait. Definitely will be back.

Came into town and was told this was a must try. If Dave’s Hot Chicken and Chik Fil A had a love child that grew up to be better than both parents, this is that child. Fries are seasoned and delicious and the chicken is juicy and perfect. Memphis wasn’t really my jam, but the sauce and food here was my flavor.

Chicken is crispy, seasoned to the bone, and usually fresh. Fries are fresh & seasoned. Greens have flavor and coleslaw slaw is not dry but has a nice crunch and enough dressing. Mac N Cheese is my least favorite side the flavor just wasn't there. Overall, yummy food and consistently fresh food. Parking is limited but there is space to sit outside or inside.
