Maciel's Taqueria (summer location)

everything we ate here tasted amazing and authentic! we had shrimp tacos, tongue tacos, steak tacos, steak torta, salsa, guacamole & ceviche. Like I stated, everything was good. Their chips were fresh and extra crispy with a little burn and we absolutely loved it. They also had 3 salsas to add to food and all three were yummy!

Delicious taqueria in Memphis. They have California-style burritos. Menu is extensive. Staff is super nice. Speak English and Spanish. Really cool murals inside and outside

Stopped by here because it is a quick walk from where I live. Roommate and I ordered chicken and lengua street tacos. I had tried beef tongue once before at a food truck and vowed to never try it again because of how tough and gamey it seemed. But I tried a bite of my roommate's taco and was surprised to find it was soft and fall-apart tender, and just tasted like Strong stew-beef.

Could use maybe just a tiny bit more seasoning, but overall these were really tasty for the price and filled us up nicely. $15 got us Two tacos, a basket of chips, and 2 drinks. There's an odd chemical smell to the place, but it's not overwhelming enough to warrant any points taken off imo. My only complaint is that I wish there was a drink menu with prices- I kinda just had to glance behind the cashier and figure out what was there. There were 3 rotating coolers of miscellaneous unlabled drink that looked really tasty but, because they were unlabled,nice was a bit too nervous to ask about them haha.

Overall a great place to grab a snack! Definitely will be making this a regular spot!

Went there the first time with the MSBC Thursday night social bike ride! Maciel's handled a crowd 60 plus people like it was nothing! Excellent service, quick delivery on the food, and the food was awesome!

Pretty good place, I got the Torta milanesa, and two asada tacos, they were really good.

Maciel's should be way more popular. The food is great and affordable. The menu variety is surprising and there will always be something new to try. My go to is the lengua (beef tongue) street tacos. Service is solid and the atmosphere is chill if not a little sparse. Definitely a repeat visit!

Ordered on uber, two meals and chips with guacamole. They only sent the chips and guacamole.

We’ve eaten at three of the Maciel’s Taqueria‘s in Memphis. This one is brand new. We were there about a week after it opened. It’s bright and cheery inside and has the same fantastic menu as the other restaurants. You won’t find fresher better tasting Mexican food anywhere in the Memphis area. Treat yourself to their fantastic chicken soup. I also had a trio of tacos. Everything is absolutely delicious. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently visited Maciel's Taqueria, from the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch—everyone was friendly and attentive. The street tacos were delicious and flavorful. It was the perfect lunch spot, I’m already planning my next visit to try more items from the menu. To wash it down, I had the horchata, which was incredibly delicious—sweet, creamy, and refreshing. It paired perfectly with the tacos and added to the overall authenticity of the meal. If you’re looking for genuine Mexican food with excellent service, Maciel's Taqueria is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I am very critical of Mexican food and here they've covered all bases. I'm from California and they have nailed it. Took 3 years to find a restaurant who could match the cooking back home. THEY'VE DONE THAT AND THEN SOME!!

Great experience!! The quality of service and food was as expected. Maciels we is the best tacos in Memphis! I love that they expanded their menu at the Summer location. Manuel and his staff went out their way to make sure my food was perfect. I ordered mulitas, tacos, and gorditas with a horchata drink. The food was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place!

If you are planning to come please note that they are doing construction on the National street. So enter the parking lot from Summer.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a soft opening and was so happy I went. Great atmosphere and what a HUGE space! The food was excellent as always as was the service. Pretty sure I saw some new menu items! Also - Park around back as there’s no parking on Summer.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of non-spicy stuff on the menu and the quesadillas are the Bomb, even for this big kid.
