Monday night. 6:30P. Just me and the woman behind the bar. She brought me a menu. Table was sticky in spots. Took my order then went to the register and hollered back to me essentially to get the order again. Ordered a burger with grilled onions. Got one small piece of grilled onion. Burger was cooked okay but not great. Bun way too big for the burger. Wasn't asked if I wanted more water or more wine. Brought me my check almost as soon as I finished eating.

Since we're missing Shoneys we decided to try something different that's not too far from the house ?. Everything was on point and I don't think ? too many people know about this place.

It was a last minute stop before retiring for the night, there was not a lot going on( some nights they have live entertainment). The service was great and the Cajun Spicy Pasta was great. I would definitely order again.
Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible.

Tried to eat there twice during my stay. No idea what the food is like because the bartender was nowhere to be found. People just sitting at tables waiting for someone to take their order.

Cannot recommend it. Though the reception staff was attentive, the spacious room was worn and the housekeeping was atrocious. Three nights and no housekeeping in my room. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty, and the Keurig coffee maker did not work, and had standing water and coffee grinds in the water receiver. I reported these immediately, but they were never addressed during my stay. The snacks and restaurants are highly overpriced, and the vending machines did not work. I did get my money back at the reception desk. If you do not have a car, the location is inconvenient to other restaurants, which are located about a mile away. The maintenance seems to be lacking as my colleagues also staying there had similar experiences. This is supposed to be a teaching hotel but I'm not sure that the lessons are sinking in. Certainly not emphasizing customer service.
Had meetings at the University of Memphis across the street. The staff was very nice upon check-in and let me check in early. I had clean sheets, but that’s about all I can say about the room. Towels and washcloths for last five previous guest. I was there for four nights, and I only had housekeeping one day. See the attached pictures. The towels were worn. The accessories were cracked. I had no body wash at all, and I asked for a refill and they didn’t give it to me. Hard to shower without body wash that’s attached to the wall.
I stayed here for four nights whilst working at the uni. Every room has both a bedroom and a separate lounge area with sofa and TV so there's lots of space. I found the atmosphere to be relaxed and comfortable. It was very quiet. The staff were all excellent - friendly and helpful. There are lots of lounge areas on the ground floor where you can sit. There's a bar that serves food and whilst the menu isn't huge, it was very welcome when I needed to eat after a long flight. I guess some people might say the decor is a bit dated but that sort of thing doesn't bother me. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Memphis.
I was here for a funeral and the staff, hotel conditions and manager are awful. Mold everywhere, rooms are not clean and disgusting and customer service is no where to be found. We had to leave early due to MOLD and so many other issues and they assured me I would be refunded promptly, nope still waiting a month later…..

I had a Cesar Salad with Salmon. It was delicious. The Cesar dressing was yummy. The server discussed the menu and my dietary restrictions, then suggested the perfect solution. Delicious!

I made this salad myself from the lunch buffet. Looks good, don't it?
A great first impression as I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Melvina at reception. The room was spacious with luxurious linens and pillows. I usually stay at Marriotts but this Holiday Inn has influenced me to look for Holiday Inns that earn good reviews, like this one. By the way, Ms. Melvina is a treasure and an asset to HI.
I used to stay at this hotel all the time before Covid. I think this was one of the earliest holiday inns, there is a big display on the founder of the chain on the 2nd floor. Fast forward post covid, and they are really struggling to provide basic customer service. When I checked in and went to my room, the bed was unmade with dirty linens on the floor. Called the front desk and they sent maintenance to my room to make the bed. The maintenance man explained how the room staff wasn't doing their job properly and so he had to do it. I appreciated his willingness to take up the slack, but I was tired and not really in the mood to listen to complaining at the end of a long trip. When I checked out I asked to have the receipt emailed. But the link that they sent didn't work to retrieve the folio, so then I had to call and be placed on hold while they figured out how to generate a receipt to email. Overall it was a mediocre experience.
Great location, staff very friendly.. in major need of full renovation. Very dated, 32” tv, s, old Ihg case goods, as this is a teaching property, ihg should keep up with the latest , as they make their franchisees. This hotel has the bones to be a show place.
