It's just a simple local joint with homemade soul food. It's delicious and pretty reasonably priced for the portion sizes. Like, I got a TON of food for 20 bucks. I got the smothered porkchop with rice, yams, and mac and cheese. That plate came with a cornbread muffin. I also added a side of broccoli and cheese. I normally go to Marvin’s when I want soul food but since I was on close to downtown, I decided to give them a try. There wasn’t a long line like I’m use to and the selections were smaller. In the Memphis area for my birthday. Was told about this location from the hotel staff. The food was HOT and fresh,seasoned to perfection. I ordered neck bones, green beans and yams. Customer service and hospitality was outstanding. Yes, the building is a little rundown, and it's difficult to maintain 6ft social distance in such a small area.
