My boyfriend and I were told that Sekisui in Midtown was the most authentic Japanese restaurant here in Memphis. I’m not sure how to put it into words, but this is the only seikisui in Memphis as I’m concerned. The food, clearly, the best, the staff, there is no comparison to the other locations. Laid back, not a long wait and great bar and sushi chefs.

Although still a watered down version to make a more palatable experience for the western customer, I remember the experience as being one that felt sharper than the usual American restaurant.
