Sing Lay Reviews
Hello, I went to Sing Lay order a A large Sing lay fried rice and small fried When I got my order at home, not sure what happened, but the order was small. Also, it lacked the other ingredients such as shrimp, chicken and beef. They were about six small shrimp and hardly any beef. I was very disappointed because they used to give you quite a bit of fried rice, but the container was only half full. I know things are going up, but I feel cheated, but it did taste good.
Don't waste your money here. Their food USED to be so delicious !!!! Now, their prices have sky rocketed and they are skimping on everything! No beam sprouts, no eggs, no green onion, no REAL Chinese vegetables and back in the day if I ordered beef. I 100% knew it would be so tender...they've changed that, beef is tough, you used to get jumbo sized shrimp, now their medium sized...but their prices are sooooo expensive. Sing Lay is known for having the best Chinese food around, with delicious shrimp fried rice, jumbo shrimp, and egg drop soup that gets 10 Stars. The homemade egg rolls are huge and amazing, and the shrimp lo mein and butterfly shrimp with bacon are off the hook. The food is flavorful and authentic, prepared fresh and served hot. Customers appreciate the fast ordering and that their meals are ready quickly, often within 15 minutes. However, the atmosphere can be unpleasant due to the location in a not so nice part of Memphis, with broken bottles in the parking lot, making it not really a place to sit down and eat. Despite these issues, the quality and quantity of food make it worth the visit. Ordering ahead on busy Fridays is a smart move, as there is often a line, but the wait is worth it for the fantastic food at Sing Lay. Long-time customers enjoy the familiar faces and have always had a great experience with the menu, including the recently updated egg rolls with larger carrots. The Sing Lay fried rice is also a must-try.
