“We've passed by this location multiple times while in Memphis and finally stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch. I'm glad we visited. We've consumed too much bbq at this point while working in Memphis but Smurfey's in my opinion is pretty much up there at the top. They don't serve ribs but I was quite happy with their selection of sandwiches and nacho's. We had the bbq sandwhich and flight with chicken and pork. Both items were delicious. The chips were fresh and fries were fresh out the grease. The drinks were bottled for Smurfeys and those were good as well. Papa Smurfey came out to check on things. Dining and bathroom was clean. The host was very helpful. I'd come back if I was in Memphis.“
“Went with a group of nine and had the only large seating area in a fairly small restaurant so I do not recommend for large groups.I'm a long term fan of Elwoods near Perkins and Summer. This one on Park had same terrific sandwiches abd EXTENSIVE menu. Sadly the one I picked today - debris - did not taste like they ones I loved in New Orleans but there are plenty of great choices on the menu. Prices for sandwiches are a bit on high side but quality and quantity make them worth more than the large chain offerings. My sticker shock was $'3.25 for tea! It was self serve in a souvenir cup but I'd rather have a plain cup at cheaper price.What surprised me at this location? Beautiful aquarium with gorgeous fish.“
