WARNING!!!! Do NOT eat the honey biscuits unless you want to obsess over them. I don’t know what evil magic they put in them, but, my goodness, they’re so good.

Looking for a breakfast place close to our hotel and open early, we settled on Sugar Grits. It did not disappoint. Generous portions and delicious. Is it a Memphis thing to hear, in response to ordering coffee "What kind of cream do you want?" (Just plain black coffee.)Make sure you arrive hungry.

This place is smack your momma good! Next time I'm back in Memphis I'm stopping here again.

I'm trying to find the faults in previous reviews but I can't. But then I'm not a pseudo food critic, I just know good food. My son had the biscuit bake and I went with cheese grits and eggs on top. Both were delicious and the service was great. Austin did a great job. Very fair prices as well. Visit, you'll like it.

Had two Amazing Breakfast here the last two days. Servers Austin and Free were great and attentive. Loved the Ambiance. Food was Fantastic and plenty of it. Thanks for an Amazing experience.

The food was good overall. The service was very average. The waitress was not attentive to the needs of our group. Recommend the omelette, potatoes, and blueberry biscuit. I do not recommend the cheese grits.

Nice sized portions of food. It was a bit greasy but tasted good. The service was good and timely. I would go back.

Big Ole Baked Biscuits were amazing and enough for my husband and I to share. The stack of cinnamon rolls were perfect. Bacon was crisp and delicious. We ate here twice while on vacation.

Was in Memphis visiting. Found this place online. The wait wasn’t long. But you could tell it was ghetto by the conversation between the workers. Waiter bought out eating utensils to us in her hand like “ here you go “ they charge us a $7.99 gratuity. The waiter didn’t even deserve that much. The food was on point but the service and ambience is awful.

Terrible service. After waiting for 20 minutes to place our drink order, and another 15 before anyone was even ready to take our food order we left. Really wanted to try the food but service was unacceptable.

Rude, rude people!! Waitress was inattentive... had no intention of providing a pleasant visit for us. Won't go back.

Sugar grits was definitely a go. From the time we walked in, the hostesses were extremely inviting and welcoming. We were seated promptly on a weekend. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Shrimp and grits were OUTSTANDING!!! The biscuits were moist and buttery. Overall I definitely recommend this place.

Great food and good service. Surprised by the 3.5 rating. Chicken & waffles were great. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their meal.
