“Now I'll admit I'm from out of state, so when my cousin took me there from the outside, I was not impressed. However, once you walk in, the vibe shifts you, and the smell is arousing, so I sit. The waiter was really working, so I had to give him grace, and he did it with a smile, so that was comforting. Now, the only thing I didn't like was we ordered an appetizer, and they ended up coming out right before our food. But omg, the food was amazing. And to add ?cherries on top they have kool-aid as a drink option, and it was good. Yea, I will definitely come again on my next trip to visit my cousin.“
“The City Cafe is a true gem that I wish we had found much sooner right by the square in Murfreesboro. The cinnamon bun was so much better than anything Cinnabon makes. I enjoyed the Western omelet with a Bisket, my wife had two eggs over easy with true fried potatoes (not those cut squares other restaurants force on you) and biskets with gravy. Granted the gravy needed some cream added for flavor but it was still good.“

“SOUL Murfreesboro easily earns a 10/10 from us. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was something special - top-notch customer service, friendly staff, delectable dishes, and an overall vibe that can't be missed. We will definitely be back! Also Gabby, our server, was top notch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“At 85, I know excellent food. Theirs is just the best around. I crave their country ham. I rate their cornbread dressing along with my mother's. I especially enjoy their slaw and cornbread. Other vegetables are just fine as well. Of course, they have delicious chocolate cream and coconut cream pies. I go about 10:30 and can get my ham and some other goodies and then when 11 comes around I can order at least two plates to bring home. It is always a delight. I surely like all the ladies who serve! I hope they are there as long as I live. (I started enjoying them in Nashville in their original spot in the 1970s! How fortunate that they wound up here in Murfreesboro1)“
