Wife and I called to see if Catfish breader was possibly gluten-free? Manager/owner insisted it was only cornmeal. So we gave it a shot.
SO good! Great Greens and fried shrimp was also excellent. Restaurant is charming and clean. Harley, our server, was sweet and accommodating. Chef came and checked on food quality and taste. Made some recommendations for our next visit that he loved. Jojo, the owner, came and chatted with us for a bit too.

This was my first time here. Everything was absolute FIRE! Wings, fire. Catfish, fire. But the star of the show was the Mac & yams. They didn't have to do me like that! Yams tasted like a grandma's on Thanksgiving. They got that recipe down with that sprinkle of nutmeg in there. I will be returning because I have been looking for a true soul food joint in town. The place is the spot. Prices were good, service was good, and it didn't take long for the food to come out once ordering.
I’ve been ordering food from here since I moved here last yr. I definitely seen a change in some of the food and the consistency but it always have good flavor. My biggest issues is that they never put napkins and silverware in the Togo orders also if I don’t get my dasher to get tartar sauce , mustard and hot sauce it wouldn’t be put in the bag. That drives me insane and half the time I still dont get all three.
