“Fantastic meal! Love the menu. We sat outside but beautifully elegant ambience inside. About an hour or so before we walked over to eat I stopped in and got a menu and the ladies at the hostess podium were super kind. When we came back we were again met by a very helpful employee, Delilah. She sat us immediately and ended up being our server for the meal. She was thorough and knowledgeable. The service and the meal were perfect! We will absolutely be regularly returning and we will be requesting Delilah every time. Great experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone! P.S.- They do lunch from 12-3pm, happy hour (including apps) from 3-6pm. And apparently they have a rooftop (kid friendly) open on Friday & Saturday evenings until 12am.“

“Food was just mids to me. It wasn’t bad but it had no flavor. 15 bucks for mids just ain’t it for me. I got the large chicken teriyaki with white rice. Wait was short and staff were nice.
I’ve gone back since and enjoy it, must’ve been a bad plate. Still think it’s a bit pricey but the servings are good.“

“FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!! Every small plate we got was exceptional! Hard to choose a favorite but please get the risotto and the sticky ribs! Our waitress, Kensington, was top notch- very attentive and knowledgeable! Absolutely fabulous experience. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Rock N Roll Sushi probably just became my new favorite takeout. Price, quality, quantity, and flavor are all five stars. If y'all are near Donelson, give it a try, it's so good. 🤤 Edit to add- after reviewing comments on other reviews, this restaurant *definitely* just became my new favorite. I can't wait to come back, and tip well! 😝“

“I would consider this one of the best quick food places to eat in Nashville. The food was great and the service was extremely nice and fast with orders. We had the crispy magic dumplings first which were exactly that. Magic! The other dishes were an order of noodles and pad kra pow. Both full of flavor and spice like no other. Simple sit down restaurants dont usually have these types of flavor options for under $100. Can't beat it.“

“There are so many people who work in the food industry that hate their job and they let you know with how they communicate. Charles at Eastern Peak is the opposite. He loves his job and it shows in his service and care. So refreshing. Thanks Charles!“

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

“Went there with wife and kids yesterday (11/2/25) and we loved it. It was my wife's birthday and we wanted something different. It did not disappoint! Food was great, service was flawless, price was acceptable.“

“My friends and I went here a few months ago. I ordered the Brisket Smoke Show bowl and everything in that bowl was amazing. The food had some much flavor and I enough to take home (it was a really big portion). I need to go back and try more items but it is a really good spot for Southeast Asia and Texas mix food.“

“We had a few friends out to go to dinner at Sunda. To start this review, Mario and Justin were awesome. It really seems like the staff works very well with Mario and has a good time. Our group gave a some creative license on the food to Justin, who was serving us. The whole experience was one of a kind and truly exceptional. We had a few bottles of wine and some of the sake. Everyone at the table enjoyed what Mario, the manager, suggested for appetizers. We started off with some interesting sushi, spicy edamame, and shishito peppers. One creation called the Great White was beyond belief. Try it if you are in. A few more sushi creations went around the table were the salmon crudo, the yuzu tuna, the tuna truffle pizza, and the smoke show (which was a cool little presentation). My wife had the Tom Yum Sea Bass which was short of amazing. I had the pancit canton with chicken, which was the simplest of all of the adult dishes. Justin brought out a huge "boat" of sushi for one of my friends. It was probably one of the most adventurous and tasty sushi dishes I have ever seen. If you have kids, you know it means a ton when your child really loves their dinner. Mario suggested a salmon bento box, of which the kid loved every bite. The lychee mochi ice cream was a great dessert to end with. Mario sat with us for a few discussing the food and my child trusted his opinion on food so much she tried her first, second and third salmon nigiri! To finish we had the Ube pie and the bibingka cake because I like Ube and Filipino food. The pie was great but the bibingka cake took the show. It had an amazing flavor profile. The service was probably the best I have ever had. The staff's knowledge of the menu and what will pair well was on point. We cannot wait to go back after the holidays! Billy Dec did an amazing job with this restaurant and definitely has the right staff for Nashville. Be adventurous with your food and enjoy your experience here. You will not regret it! Mario and Justin-- appreciate the hospitality and awesome experience!“

“I've drove by many times by and i never see it open, up until now. Perhaps I've been in many places here in Nashville to express my humble opinion but I must say, this is the best and authentic Japanese place I've eaten! May not look fancy and/or out of date but I can assure that the food isn't! Stop by, you would like it I'm sure of it.
When we got there, we saw a few tables with empty plates, this speaks louder that words honestly lol“

“Unique asian food options. We shared the fried shrimp kimbap witch was awesome. It was full of vegies and shrimp and huge.
Love their sauces. Friend had the bulgogi ramen which he loved. The bulgogi was delicious and tender, and again the sauce was delicious. Will definitely go back !“

“Oh my gosh. The best sushi I’ve had in Nashville!! And the Chicken Fried Rice….I mean, it will be my go-to comfort food from now on. The Peruvian sushi with the ceviche was my fave, followed closely by the Blink 182. Go. Go now. Why are you still reading this? GO!“

“Having grown up in the Netherlands I always wondered how the campus dining halls of the major universities in the USA would be. The Commons is an awesome place! It is situated at one of the nicest sites on the Vanderbilt campus and the dining hall has a superb selection of various foods: three different entrees to choose from during lunch in addition to a daily Asian dish (the rice is always very good), selection of 'diner foods', salad bar, an omelette station, sandwich station and a great variety of desserts. I wish we had such dining halls on Dutch University Campuses.“
