Nashville, TN. Delicious over-priced American diner classics (weak coffee, though) in a beautiful but loud fish bowl ambiance and the service was lacking. We couldn’t hear each other without yelling because of the waterfalls. Our server, although he smiled, disappeared quite a bit so our glasses weren’t filled. He also needed reminding about what we’d ordered. He didn’t speak much so I wondered if he’d understood what we said. We ended up pointing at the menu to be sure he understood. Even then it looks like he wrote our orders down wrong. We were almost late for a concert because of him. We called him over and my friend said, “I’m sorry but we’re in a hurry; we need our bill.” He said, “Okay okay okay,” smiling, but so unprofessional. He came back with one of our checks, then he approached with the other two bills for our table, shook his head as he looked at the bills, turned and disappeared, leading me to believe there’d been a mistake on their part on the bills. He did not keep our water glasses filled. He did not check on us. My husband asked him twice for coffee. When the coffee came it had been splashed around so the mug was dripping and tasted “like brown water,” my husband said. The turkey bacon sandwich with fries was great, as was the tuna melt sandwich. My stepdaughter eats gluten free so she didn’t eat the bun on her Cascades Burger with fries which she ate quickly so it probably was good. My friend and I both got the fresh-tasting delicious salad with Marcona almonds, bacon and vinaigrette on the side. The vinaigrette tasted slightly of champagne. It’s such an attractive restaurant as you approach it but it’s actually not that great of a date spot or family restaurant because it’s so loud. We’ll try Stax or Paisanos next time.Parking: It is $37 for hotel parking. I’m not sure about valet charges.

The breakfast buffet is nowhere near being worth the price. $35? Only if your company is paying.

Extremely disappointed with the team working at Cascades on 3/24/24 from 7:30 to 10pm.First they told us it would be a 35 minute wait. We waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes! When they brought us our drinks, my sweet tea glass exploded on top of me sending sharp glass pieces everywhere. NO ONE CAME TO HELP. There was a child at our table. The glass breaking was extremely loud and no one came to ask if we were okay. My friends and I did our best to clean up and both of us ended up with cuts on our hands. After what felt like ages, a guy came to clean up the floor, the waiter finally showed up and LAUGHED at the scene. Then he said “ok now I have to get a tray to TRY and clean up this mess”. At that point we were so upset, that we just simply left without eating our food that we had already ordered. What a waste of time! We were staying at the resort and this is how we were treated after spending thousands of dollars for our stay. Unacceptable. Hotel guests should have seating priority and the crew staff needs to be better trained. I will not be returning.

The setting is very nice, close to a big waterfall but not as noisy as the nearby bar area. The food was good, but not especially inventive for the price ($55 filet mignon, $22 burger with six fries). And the wine bottles were ridiculously overpriced. Our server seemed rushed and was constantly trying to upcharge us. We had heard we could get our $37 parking fee validated by a hotel restaurant, and our server said that was the case. But after visiting the hotel and valet desks we found out that was wrong, so we didn't even get free parking for our $250 meal. We wouldn't eat here again.

First time I've sent back food in years. The pork chop was undercooked and predominantly fat, barely any meat. I'm good with medium, but the cut of meat was impossible. Avoid.

4.4 stars. We enjoyed a light lunch sharing a wedge salad, and elevated avocado toast. The cheddar biscuits were delicious too.

While the atmosphere and service were fine the food was terrible! Appetizer was burnt to a crisp and served. Couldn’t believe it was even served but ok. I ordered a filet and while eating my salad, that was not the freshest, I could smell something bad. I kept smelling what I thot someone who had fish but I was wrong as it was my steak. It was literally spoiled meat. I took one bite and knew right away it was the steak I kept smelling. I was shocked and establishment of this level didn’t have better food quality control.Parking: Cost $40 to park.

Complacent service staff going through motions. Expressed my concern on the matter to the greeter, because there was no manager to be found, and I was not accepting of an automatic gratuity for sub par efforts (Habitual 20-30% tipper though). Food was acceptable as expected. The names of the server or manager were never given, so I cannot speak on that.
