Loved their pop up off of Deaderick Street pre-covid so much that I drove 40 minutes just for their cowboy beans when they were in Nolensville...great people and even better food!
im their biggest fan!!! the best barbecue ive ever eaten, and made with love by some of my absolute favorite people !!!! ❤️
Wish you guys were still open. You're certainly one of the best BBQ around.
Very disappointed in the quality. I recently purchased a bag of the hardwood briquets. I put it in a chimney starter, lit it and waited for it to ash over just like any other brand. When I poured it into the grill, the briquets just crumbled like wet sand. They never reached a high enough temp to cook with. I'm positive the bag was never exposed to any rain or moisture. I really expected it to perform better than Kingsford, but I guess I'll just stick to what works for me.
This place is now closed. The building is for rent. Dont bother wasting your time driving over there.
I would recommend Charcoal Coyboys BBQ to anyone looking for amazing local bbq. Their wings are super tasty and the mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort food. In addition, the staff is super appreciate and friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
The pulled pork was fantastic (and I'm not even usually a pulled pork type of guy), and their potato salad will blow your mom's out of the water. Will definitely order again soon
BBQ is good. Portion size isn't bad. Atmosphere is very relaxed. Service was great. Worth the pop in for BBQ and a beer!
After a few years watching them on tv. Try it yesterday and they didn’t let me down. Brisket what they are known for it was awesome. I try the green beans and by far best green beans I ever had. I will be back. Ken is the man! Next thing I will try smoke chicken which they are known for it.
If I could give 10 stars I would.

If I could give 10 stars I would. You walk into a really funky two story, three seating area restaurant with the amazing smells of BBQing meats and think “I’m home”. You can order platters of single meats, a la carte by the slice or pound meats that come to you with no sauce on them and a variety of sides. Our amazing new friend Mia - server, bartender, improv comedian - greeted us with a smile and helped us pick out the delish eats and presented us with a variety of sauces to pair with our selections. I had a platter of brisket, ribs, wings, smoked turkey, jalapeño cheddar sausage with baked beans and mac n cheese. The flatmate had pretty much the same but got corn salad instead of beans and I took the last sausage (yay me!!) but I shared it (I’m a good guy!). Had a local blonde ale (Cougar Bait from Country Boy Brewing) and the red ale (Johnny Red) that so complimented the food. Here’s the breakdown:Great vibe - sounds, smells, sight +1 star, great staff (Mia, Bailey and a tableside visit from Ken, the owner) +1 star, such a cool menu with sauce variety with pairing suggestions from Mia and Bailey +1 star, excellent food +1 star and great conversation with other guests +1 star. I will return again and again. This was an awesome lunch and a top notch experience. I even wore my local guide socks that Google sent me!
Ken & Bama.... such a great BBQ restraunt! Thank you for sharing your talents of delicious food. My favorite is the smoked turkey, the kids loved the mac & cheese and husband loved the brisket! So may delicious sides .... greens, baked potato, pea & corn salad... Yum!
Just WOW! How did I miss this place that's been here since 2008? I guarantee I'll be back. A lot. Fantastic food, excellent staff and a wonderful owner. Ya just gotta go.
Wow. No clue how I've missed this place until now, but I guarantee this first visit is only the beginning. Fantastic food, amazing staff, wonderful owner.
Rare is the BBQ place that can get everything right. From the food, to the service, to the in house sauces, to the sweet tea - everything was awesome. They even came to my table and explained all of the different sauces and what to expect. Their Blackberry BBQ sauce was excellent. You can also order meats by the pound or piece. I tried brisket, pulled pork, ribs, wings and sausage. All was excellent. And all of their sides are vegetarian so I'd your significant other doesn't like BBQ they will not be disappointed. I tried the mac and cheese and cowboy beans and they were excellent. A fellow at a neighboring table tried the collards and was surprised there was no meat in them. He said they were the best he has ever had. If you are within a hundred miles it is worth the drive.
