Absolutely delicious! Best Indian food I've ever had!
My wife and I are here for our 5th anniversary and this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I literally was in happy tears while eating the lamb masala and the cheesecake. Kerstin our waitresses was an absolute pleasure and deserves all the good things. Thank for such a wonderful meal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
Went here last night after landing in Nashville Tennessee from Seattle,Washington and OMG the food was AMAZING! The whipped paneer was delicious as was the pork shank with the korma curry sauce if you’re ever in Nashville you must eat at Chauhan and who knows if your lucky enough you MIGHT get to meet Maneet ( my parents and I unfortunately didn’t ) our waitress was very friendly and helpful

Chauhan Ale and Masala House is a popular spot for those wanting authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, where diners can enjoy flavorful dishes created by Chef Maneet. Customers often praise the food as "amazing," with most items rating 5+/5. The meat is described as very tender, and the overall meals are well prepared. However, some fusion dishes like the beet chaat need better flavor balance, and many dishes are served mild to medium, especially for Indian diners used to spicier flavors. While the food is good, some find the flavor less intense than expected, and the restaurant is on the pricier side, possibly due to its downtown location.
The Tiffin Special remains a favorite, though some feel portions are small for the price. Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and provide helpful suggestions. Service can be slow, especially when the restaurant is packed, and it might take longer to get the bill. Seating at the booths is cozy, but the legs under the table can be bumped easily, which some customers find uncomfortable. Despite these minor challenges, the overall experience is enjoyable, and many plan to return. The staff acknowledges birthdays, adding a personal touch. The casual dress code and friendly ambiance make it a welcoming place for special occasions. Overall, Chauhan Ale and Masala House is a well-liked destination for those seeking a flavorful Indian dining experience, even if some feel the heat levels and flavor intensity could be more authentic.
