Used to be a really special beer shop and bottle show now delegated to a vape and smoke store with no change to any listings. The new owners are scammers plain and
Used to be a special spot with a great selection in the bar and a well-curated bottle shop, but the recent sale has turned it into another run-of-the-mill liquor store. As of now, it's still under construction and the in-stock selection on the website is outdated but it's open regardless presumably to skim a couple extra bucks.Same owners who bought Madison Beverage Warehouse and jacked up the prices while removing any semblance of personality. Not worth supporting.
I love this place. The bottle shop has an excellent selection of beers, wines, and liquors. There are plentiful and carefully curated supplies of all items. This is not a place for 24 packs of Bud Light or handles of Jack Daniel's, and I'm glad for that. I would especially recommend this place for mezcal, as it's the best selection over many other stores in town. I also love the "old world" / German beer selection in the bottle shop, as it is also a huge advantage over other stores in town. What I don't like is the taproom. It's a great design, great space, and has a huge selection of beer between the taps and drink refrigerators. Frankly I only like about <5% of the beer selections though. I'd love to see more German and international beers and fewer IPAs / dark beers. Lighter beers make up maybe 5 of the 30 taps there and maybe half of one column of the five refrigerators. If you are looking for gluten free beers or non-alcoholic options though, they do have a wide variety compared to most other places, so that is a plus. The employees are super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. I always have positive experiences with customer service.I hope my negative comments aren't taken too personally. This really is a great place. Just my two cents.
