We went to this restaurant because of the good reviews but it was subpar..the Fried Green tomatoes were horrible, the cranberry lemon drop was horrible, the 9oz filet was size of a silver dollar, bland with no seasoning and was not cooked to the desired temperature, but the plus side was the collard greens..they were Great!! Other than that I wouldn't be in a big hurry to eat here..

I have taken two 14 person groups here for dinner in 2024. Their food and service knocked it out of the park, and everyone in both of the groups were complimentary of how good Deacon’s was. I highly recommend!
Fabulous meal and exceptional services. If you’re going to Nashville and want the best steak in town, Deacon’s New South needs to be your first choice. Outstanding.

Our server was great, but both of these steaks were ordered as medium rare. Absolutely, the worst steak I’ve ever had. Who cares if it’s dry age, when the steak is burnt to crisp. Manager made it right & refunded us for the burnt steaks , but said it was as a common complaint for the night…. How can you allow this!

The was good as my wife's chicken was good as well as my steak. The only thing I did not like was the steak was nearly burnt instead of being seared. The service was extremely poor as it took nearly 10 minutes for a server to approach us. He took our drink and appetizer orders and then brought the drinks about 10 minutes later. He then took our entree orders.He did stop by later see if our dinners were ok. He never offered us any specials or see if we wanted another drink. He then returned with the check and never offered dessert to us.

Fantastic aged beef with a nuty flavor. I have had kind, excellent service with a quick tour of their wines, the L & C tower, and the kitchen. The sides are so good, especially the greens.

We had a wonderful experience here! The service was truly outstanding and the food and cocktails were some of the best I've had. I strongly recommend the steak frites, shrimp appetizer, and key lime pie. Our server, Will, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. He also created custom mocktails for non-drinkers in our group that were visually stunning and complex. I would love to visit again next time I'm in Nashville.
