While visiting family in Nashville we dined at Gunnons. This was my second visit, and I again was not disappointed. The prime rib is superb and much more than I could eat. Our table shared the eggplant olivia and I have to say that it is the best eggplant dish I have ever eaten.
Traveled to Nashville from Missouri. Stayed at the Courtyard Downtown Nashville. We could not decided where to eat due to many choices. We decided to stay in the hotel and go to the first floor and just eat here at the hotel. We were treated as if we were royalty. The food is world class food. Nothing can compare. Gannons Nashville offers a delightful dining experience with a beautiful atmosphere and high ceilings. Appetizers like meatballs and Eggplant Olivia are standouts. Filets are cooked to perfection, while other dishes like scallops and prime rib are also delicious. The prime rib, described as the biggest many have ever seen, is cooked perfectly, especially for those who prefer their meat well done. The Brussels sprouts are excellent, and the restaurant also features unique touches like live music, including top-notch jazz piano and double bass. The service is prompt and attentive, providing a personal touch. The owner is personable and goes above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. Gannons Nashville is a must-stop visit and a great four-star establishment. The White Chocolate Bread Pudding is decadent and highly recommended. With prices that are very low for such high-quality food, it’s a place that many would return to often. If one doesn't eat at Gannons, they are truly missing out.
