“A trip back to the golden age of nightclubs. A real prohibition/film noir vibe. Top flight warm and friendly service from bar and waiting staff. Bar manager Rhys is right across the whole operation. Also really knowledgeable about the cultural history of the venue - which has been rocking it since 1948. Incredible music from sax player / Nat King Cole voiced Derek Williams, plus singers Laura Mayo and Dianne Sherrill fronting a superb jazz combo led by a highly charismatic pianist. The burlesque show is end to end class with elegance and humour balanced perfectly by co producers Jonny Gowow (musical director) and Tessa Mendoza (hostess / lead dancer). Food also of equally high standard. The prime rib is a near religious experience!“

“This place is spectacular. 25-foot windows make up two of the walls providing a great view of the Gulch and all the people walking around. The seafood was surprisingly good and we expected good. Get the shrimp toast, oysters and whatever fish is on hand. BUT ... when we left we used the restroom before Ubering away and got rousted by some hotel lobby bouncer. Weirdest thing! Pissed us off. Three of us waiting on one more member of our party to finish washing their hands and this guy treats us like loitering vagrants. Damn poor execution of policy.“

“Visited ETC for the first time last night. GREAT.!! Staff was excellent. Seated us promptly. Our server (Morgan) was funny, knowledgeable, and offered great suggestions. We had the Warm Feta appetizer which I highly recommend. We also had the special which was a halibut dish. It was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake and almond cake....wow.!! They are a must have. Overall, I highly recommend.“

“Can't say one bad thing!!! Our server Katrina was wonderful!! I am sorry I didn't get the names of the others serving us but everyone was personable ( and yes super heros wear aprons) the food is cooked perfectly and the taste was phenomenal!! The french Fry sampler brought to the table was spectacular and we tried all the combinations. The sides -Brussel Sprouts, Mac and Cheese, and Rice were out of this world. The Steak..well the awards speak for themselves. The steak melted in my mouth!! Let's also mention the dessert... the Smores... just order it!!! You will love it!! We also ordered the Creme Brulee it was creamy and outrageously good!! We will be back!! Oh and we mentioned that we were celebrating our daughter's HS graduation and Katrina brought a celebration slice of cake to the table!!! The staff made it a wonderful experience!!“

“Sperry’s never disappoints! My husband & I enjoyed our first wedding anniversary here, but it wasn’t our first trip. The steaks were absolutely perfect, the shrimp bisque soup was the best soup I’ve ever had, we always enjoy the salad bar, & the desserts were to die for per usual! We’ll absolutely be going back.“

We ordered enough Food for 6 just so we could taste it as much as we could and brought samples of everything home to our families! Great atmosphere, great wait staff, an all around great experience! The only issue we had a reservation at 7:30 and they didn't seat us until 8:10. the purpose of making a reservation is for the establishment to save a reservation. the live jazz and blues music was awesome and was nice as you were waiting, we did get to dance a little bit even though no one else was dancing!“

“I'm already a fan of J.Alexanders and their food. Today I visited this location and had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Archie. All of the staff provided excellent service first and foremost, but it is always worth noting meeting a kind manager that is running the establishment well. It was clean and the service was excellent and above our expectations considering we visit during some peak hours. Will definitely be back to visit this location in the future. I've been twice in one week already so I'm very convinced that this is by far the best soul food establishment we have in Nashville. Hands down... I got the chicken & dressing with mashed potatoes and green beans the first time, then came back later in the week and got hot lemon pepper fried chicken wings with macaroni and cheese and greens.
