“we were staying at a hotel nearby the past week and on our first morning, we stopped here for breakfast. the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. we came back for brunch 2 more days because it was such a great place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.“
“Apr 2024 - After our Bluebird Cafe plan fell through, Marjie made early reservations at Jane’s for Dinner and music on Sunday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique menu, especially the okra appetizer. John, the proprietor, told us about his place and we settled in to listen to Addy/Domino. Fantastic musicianship from the various band members who seemed to gradually increase every few songs. I’m not sure we ever heard any original material like I expected, but she’s a wonderful singer of classics. We headed back across the river and got to see the TN statehouse all lit up on the hill.“
“We’re staying 15-20 minutes outside of Nashville and wanted to try some hot chicken. We came into town just to try Red’s, and it was incredible. First bite was so good, I had to close my eyes just to take it all in. Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Even the smell was so good, I had to pause to savor it. Two adults and two kids loved every bite. Got three orders of tenders—southern, mild, and medium heat, and a chicken sandwich, all with fries. All was amazing.“
“Everything a out of towner was expecting. Very busy when then we went but line moved smoothly, had beers while we waited to order. Asked for a recommendation and was directed towards the half chicken because you could get the light and dark meat seasoned differently. Got the mild and damn hot (it was). But holy moly! Hot, juicy and extremely flavorful but so much that it over powered the flavor of the chicken itself.Next up was the reason I wanted to try it so bad, The chicken sandwich. And to me, it was like a I has died and gone to chicken sandwich heaven. Between the perfectly soft and firm bun to the amazing crunch and flavor(HOT) of the chicken itself and the incredible slaw on top adding the yet another delicious layer to the masterpiece.10/10Will go again.Need more locations nation wide.“
“If you EVER want BBQ in Nashville, do yourself a favor and go to Edley's on 12th!!! The Very Best BBQ I think I have EVER had!!! The ribs ( and we came in 45 minutes before they closed on a Sunday night!!!) They were so tender and perfect!!! We had potato salad and Mac and cheese ?YUMMMM!!! EVERYTHING was delicious!!! And the service was phenomenal!!!You might be able to tell I REALLY loved it!!! Sincerely , a BBQ fanatic!!!!“
“Do not hesitate to wait. There’s not a chance you’ll find something better by the time you get to whatever back up restaurant you pick.Big Al’s Deli is small and feels like you’re with family the moment you step through the door. You’re greeted and treated like you just got home. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is friendlier than you’ll find anywhere outside of grandma’s kitchen, and the food takes you to a different place and time where everything just feels right.Get the catfish. Listen to what the waitress suggests you try, and enjoy an experience unlike any other.“
“So sad to learn the Manor is closing on 4/21/24 due to tge airport expansion. We love coming here and sharing meals with people we may have never have had the pleasure of meeting otherwise. We always enjoy the food but the company is always the highlight. ??Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.“
“We always bring out of town company and celebrate birthdays here but never again. They put us in a room with 3 tables set up for 4 each and one real long table for about twenty, The table behind us was so loud as was their waiter, we couldn't carry on a conversation Our guests were people from outside America and we would have liked to have been able to enjoy a nice meal and conversation with them. When did Urban Grub become a zoo? I can't believe the little regard shown the 3 separate tables as looking at all of our faces the dining experience was totally unacceptable . Whoever arranged for small parties to be sharing space with an obnoxiously loud party needs more training. Our waiter was good only because neither of us could hear each other and had to continually repeat our request because he couldn't hear us. When he could hear us he was very attentive and an excellent server This experience should NEVER occur in a fine dining establishment as the Urban Grub is known for.UPDATE: Husband and I returned for my birthday as I trust the oysters being shipped almost daily to Urban Grub. We spoke with Jeremiah and he apologized profusely for the situation unfortunately exposed to on our last visit. He advised if we are ever unhappy with our dining experience there to let him and/or the hostess know immediately. This time around our experience was as it has been in the past...great. Jeremiah did give us an appetizer for a gift and a birthday dessert that they seem to do for birthdays. Thanks again and we'll be back.“
“I had the best experience yesterday. Not only was it the first time I've ever eaten alone but it was my birthday on the 12th and the staff were soo sweet. The food was amazing and it was such a beautiful place inside and out. Highly recommend“
“We waited over an hour for our lunch after 1 o’clock in the afternoon. But the food was much worth it, and the service was grand! If I’m ever in the area again, I will eat there. The loveless café has had many reviews, on TV shows and magazines. the food was delicious. Didn’t seem like it just was poured out of cans. I believe they really use some recipes!“
“Come in as strangers leave as family is there motto and they mean it! They serve food to you at a large table with several other customers and you eat as a large group. Great environment but if you show up alone be prepared to wait until there's enough customers to fill a table“
“EVERY SINGLE PART of my birthday dinner last night was exceptional! From crafted cocktails, crispy avocado rice, bacon wrapped dates, lamb that melted in your mouth, so much of the newly crafted autumn menu that we were able to enjoy, plus staff that made us feel like we were the most important people in the room (we are talking especially about you, Ally!). Butcher and Bee is now my "you have to go here" recommendation to anyone coming to Nashville. And order the Chef's Choice. We are still a bit in awe of the culinary splendor we received. Thank you!“
“Typical steakhouse feel and decor. Started off with the buttery rolls and cinnamon butter, it was hard not to eat to many rolls. Up next was a Cesar salad, good size salad and tasted good. Got a 20oz ribeye and baked potato they had on special for the night, both were good as expected. Real similar to a Texas Roadhouse. Overall all the food was good, the server we had was really good and friendly. I’ve eaten here a few years ago and it’s exactly the same goodness.“
“The restaurant was full when we arrived, so the manager immediately permitted us to sit in a closed section. Our server was at our table in no time with a great attitude and smile, which always creates a wonderful morning vibe.I ordered the big ole burrito and my wife ordered the Avo smashed toast...they were both FANTASTIC!! This food is not your average airport food. If you want great food in a nice atmosphere, then this is your place...We will definitely be back when traveling through Nashville's airport.“
“While visiting Nashville on a family trip we visited Ole Red on our first day and had such an amazing time, we went back multiple times throughout the trip. Great drinks and great vibes. I was able to bring my baby in (9 months).Kid-friendliness: I was able to bring my 9 month old in with us. The rooftop was the perfect spot to hangout. The music was great and not too loud for the baby.“
“A Nashville Staple with Irresistible Comfort FoodAs a Nashville native, Nashville Biscuit House holds a special place in my heart, and for good reason. This charming establishment never fails to deliver on both fantastic food and exceptional service. Whether you're craving a classic Southern meat and three, indulgent stacks of pancakes, or something a bit heartier like the mouthwatering fried pork chop with a side of creamy Mac and cheese and crispy tots, this place has it all.The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hearty meal with friends or family. The staff here are always friendly and attentive, making sure every visit is a memorable one.If you're looking for comfort food done right in Nashville, look no further than Nashville Biscuit House. It's a true gem in the city's culinary scene, and one that I'll keep coming back to time and time again. Highly recommended!“
“Cane here with the Secret Food Tour - East Nashville edition. Great drinks and a pretty good catfish taco. We're from Southern California, so that's a pretty high bar for fish tacos. But these were very good, and everyone else loved them.We sampled the, apparently, famous bushwacker which is a slushy Kahlua, Bailey's, milkshake situation. And also a Bloody Mary, which wasn't the star of the show, but it was good. And the service was very good and the atmosphere is cool.“
“A short walk from Broadway….this is the real deal!! Excellent family operated restaurant. The restaurant is very clean, and loaded with character!! The food was so delicious (prime rib hash?) and the service was top notch!! This was a great find!!! A+++“
“From the moment you step in, the vibe is welcoming and trendy, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The menu is a delightful mix of classics and innovative dishes, each one bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch! We loved our waiter, Abigail! Whether you're a local or a visitor, Marsh House is a must-try for anyone looking for a stellar food in Nashville. Highly recommend!“
“Came highly rated from FoodNetwork and Travel Channel shows. We lucked out and came when there was no line (which I thought was unheard of!) We shared the Bonuts and the Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit. The Bonuts were one of the best things I've ever had. Also the fruit tea was AMAZING!“
“I really enjoyed the atmosphere of sports on the screens, families dining, friendly waitress and delicious food. It was my first Party Fowl experience, so I tried the mild hot chicken. I may go hotter next visit. Queso was outstanding as well.“
“You absolutely have to try the mind-blowing fish at uncle Bud's! Trust me, it's an experience you won't want to miss. And hey, if you want to see more of me in action, head over to my awesome YouTube page, BigPapiAdventure. You won't be disappointed!“
“Had to stop at the "original" source of nashville hot chicken and phew, am I glad I did. Definitely a different taste from some of the others! I've had some spots that have sweeter spice, some with spicey spice, but this was perfectly balanced. I didn't even have a chance to take a photo it was so good. As soon as thay first bite of medium level heat hit my lips, it was over! The whole half bird order was gone before I even knew what happened. And them greens!!!! Go get you some of the king of nashville hot chicken!“
“Absolutely loved everything about 5th & Taylor! I went to join coworkers for dinner and it came highly recommended. The food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. I was amazed by the beauty of the building and loved all of the unique artwork that was on display. This a great place to have a date night or group dinner. I will definitely come back during my next visit to Nashville!“
“This place was amazing! From the patient host that took our order (group of 6 with two young kids 3 and 5) to the very friendly serving staff that made sure we had every need met, checked in on us regularly and remembered all the little things. The food was sooo good. The wings, grits, and greens were highlights but the FREE banana pudding that we were given as first time patrons stole the show. Drinks were strong and tasty as well. This was our first time to Nashville and when we come back we will make sure to stop in at Edley’s! The staff really went above and beyond for us.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!“
“We drove 3 hours to try Arnold’s and let me tell you it was fantastic. I had the meatloaf, bbq chicken, greens, sweet potato casserole and the very best fried green tomatoes my wife and I have EVER put in our mouths. My wife loved the chicken and dumplings, corn casserole , mac n cheese and they even gave her a sample of the roast beef and cauliflower casserole all were superb. Folks If you’re ever in Nashville this is a Must Try its part of the very heart soul of the city and of south.“
“Edley's has the best BBQ food in the WORLD! I've never had a bad meal there. I especially love the burnt ends. Service is "help yourself" and I don't mind at all. A lot of times, I like to help myself when wait staff is busy. You order at the counter when you come in. You're given an order number for your table and your glass for your beverage. Find yourself a table and your food is brought to you and you help yourself to your beverage. I haven't ordered anything from the bar, so I can't help there.“
“First time dining at City House but will not be our last. We went for the pizza after hearing how good it was. It was! We also tried the special pasta dish last night which was the ‘Royale with Cheese’ and it was phenomenal. Closes the night with a Salted Caramel Ice Cake. 10/10 for the night and as good as the food was, the service was even better. Dodge took great care of us, was very informative about the menu and overall made our experience so enjoyable. It’s easy to forget about gems like this in the vibrant Nashville culinary scene but don’t miss out on one of the best in Nashville.“
“First time here. Took some friends off my wife and listened to an awesome band playing covers of R&B plus blues. The singer was from Australia and really knew how to play that guitar plus had great vocals. The sound wasn't too loud at all, which was a surprise after walking by some many other joints downtown that blast you out of the room. The food was good, not great. The brisket quesadilla was out of this world. Beer selection was adequate and drinks were good. If you're looking to just chill and listen to good tunes, this is your place. Granted it was a Sunday afternoon so it was not crowded.Give it try next time you're down on Broadway!“
“Talked to a lot of locals and Pucketts was the consensus go to BBQ joint. It did not disappoint. I'm more of a brisket guy(yes I know this ain't Texas). Brisket was ok, but the true stars of the show was the pork and Memphis sweet BBQ, that had a great flavor. BBQ beans were good and they had a good Mac n cheese. Also whatever they put in the fried pimento cheese balls and berry sauce are like Crack, truly a must have appetizer wash it all down with their fruit infused tea for a great BBQ while in Nashville“
“My mom and I dined in on a Friday night and had the best service stating with Donna who took our orders. We sat in a booth and was immediately greeted by Alfredo who made sure we had everything for our food. He was so nice and even shared his favorite dishes to try next time. Then, Big Al stopped by to see if we needed anything and after sharing his favorites, he brought a sample of the turkey for us to try. So tender and juicy! I recommend trying the turkey, brisket tacos and catfish for entrees and for the sides: green beans, potato salad, okra, fries. Perfect Friday night!“
“This is a great restaurant, awesome food and service! I am celiac and I was impressed by their gluten free selections, the unbelievable flavor of their food, healthy sized portions, great atmosphere, attentiveness of everyone working there(especially our server and her husband) and the relaxed atmosphere. Next time we are in Nashville The Farm House will be our first place to eat. I would give it a 5 out of 5 rating.“
“My daughter and I dined here for Easter Brunch and it was delicious. We ordered the creole grits. If you love creole dishes, this is a good choice. Our server, Jenny was delightful and the ambience was so calming and enjoyable as well as the trio providing wonderful music. We will be back.“
“The food was such big portions! Hannah's service was top notch of excellent service, suggestions, and smiles!!! Felt like a homie picnic full of sunshine, delicious food and lots of laughs. Definitely will be back and sending customers your way!! ;) thanks for the good eats y'all!!!“
“I absolutely am in love with this place. The service is excellent the cook all they knock your socks off. The food is excellent. Anything you choose this meeting? Three is a find the minute you hit the ground in Nashville. Make sure you're ready for lunch.“
“Like a sign says Country Cafe fantastic food awesome service very good prices lots of food to choose from on the menu parking little tight outside.Parking: There might be parking behind the restaurant I'm not for sure but enough about the parking. The food was real home cooked food service was out standing give it a ? interested comment when I was finished and getting up from the table I have to take it slow cuz I have bad knees, a man next table from me said that's that home cooked food stuffed, that is some of that country humor? one last thing the country fried steak had to be at least half a lb . "As Arnold said I'll be back"“
“I’ve been wanting to go here for a while. Always past by because of the long lines. I’m currently 26 at the time of this review and I remember being about 5 and my mom would always have some catfish and spaghetti from Nashville. She worked in Nashville and would come here for lunch or after work. I didn’t know the name of the restaurant but it wasn’t that difficult to find. The sandwich tastes exactly how I remember. Didn’t care too much for the spaghetti, the taste was different. Very pricey for a little cup, $4?“
“Great music and fantastic food and service! We were staying nearby and stopped in for music and appetizers. Both were amazing. It was so good, we returned for dinner and the catfish and meatloaf were both delicious. And the beignets, you HAVE to get the beignets! Also the staff was very friendly and even took the time to give us some advice on some of the things we planned to do around Nashville. If you're in Nashville, go here!!! They even have a parking lot (which is painfully rare it seemed).“
“We have been a few times before, but wanted to write another review for last nights visit. Everything was perfection- from the food to the service! We ordered the whipped paneer with a side of papadum, Nashville hot veggie pakora, and the pork shank with Tandoori sauce. Both had incredible depth of flavor! The server was wonderful- his name is Mort. He was working hard, had quite a few tables, but still managed to make us feel seen and taken care of, his kindness was memorable! Thanks for another great visit! Forever our favorite Nashville spot!“
“Wendy was are waitress, she had a warm welcoming personality. She asked where we were from and also asked what we did while we were on vacation. She was very attentive and really made us feel special. We definitely will be coming back and requesting her as our waitress!“
“We visited because it was on our must do Nashville list. Traffic was very congested to get there mid-morning. The biscuit seemed to be made from a laminated dough, resulting in a crispy layered pastry. We ordered biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy was not spicy; the way we prefer it. I also tried the cheese grits; they were bland. The service was very efficient.Parking: We parked on a dead-end street.“
“When I tell yall I almost CRIED eating their chicken strips, I mean it. I haven’t had a vegetarian or vegan chicken strip that tastes like the real thing since I stopped eating meat. We were visiting all the way from Arizona and made it a point to stop here. I’m glad we did!!!“
“We had a long day of traveling with our dog and kids. We sat on the patio and had a phenomenal dinner - borbounyaki wrap (might have been my favorite!), watermelon salad (probably one of the best salads!), fish and chips, and cheeseburgers. I can’t wait to be in town again to eat here another time!!“
“Went here randomly 2 years ago and had the best chili of my life. Fast forward 2 years into the future I couldn't remember the dang places name #jackdaniels Well booked a room at the Bobbu hotel and to my surprise it was across the street already had breakfest and my chili!!!!“
“This was a chance eating place for our group and it will NOT be the last! Everyone working there was friendly and greeted us with a smile. You get a free cookie on your first visit! So many things to chose from - the chicken salad is excellent!! Loved our lunch there and have a list of things to try for the next time!“
“I wanted to go to a newer restaurant for my birthday dinner. My mom, myself and my husband had dinner there Friday evening. My mom and husband both had the Tn tinderloin sandwich. They loved it. I had the shrimp poboy with cheese grits. I loved it. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It reminds me of an old fashioned country store restaurant. We will definitely be back!!“
“Excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Had the Chicken and Waffle plate. Tasty sauce on Chicken with thin breading, Chicken juicy and waffle was perfectly done. Great coffee as is, no sugar or cream needed. Highly recommend it. And our waitress Latoyia was very very attentive. A real "hidden gem" north of the river just off I 65!“
“Had the 200 and 400 degree chicken strips today for lunch and let me just say that I haven’t stopped thinking about it since and can’t wait to go back!!!! A lot of places are boasting about how their food brings the heat yet it still lacks in flavor, the food that they serve at 400 degrees does not lack in heat or in flavor whatsoever! It comes out freshly cooked served with bread which soaks up all those delicious and spicy juices for you to enjoy! Added bonus they have a secret menu the level of heat does not just stop at 400 degrees it can go up to 900!!!!“
“AMAZING!We stayed at the hotel and went down for breakfast a lil late but the chef came out and offered to make us breakfast anyway - it was delicious and the bartender Kayla was super friendly-AND they put March madness on TV for my husband- couldn't have been better ??“
“Quite simply, the best chicken I have ever eaten! I was visiting Nashville, and had to try hot chicken. I heard this place is top notch, so I waited in like like everyone else. The line moves quick, but expect to wait about 30-45 minutes. Let me tell you though, what a wait it was worth.I got the half birdy (which I recommend wholeheartedly) and it was phenomenal. So juicy and tender. The spice level was just right, snd the price was very fair. I’m already missing this place now that I am home.Job well done! Simply sensational and now I see what the hype was about!“
