“My favorite hot chicken. Medium has a good heat but hot is good for an extra kick. Dave is the man and runs a top notch spot. The order is so consistent, you get the exact same high quality meal every single time. Sides are fantastic and the tea has a great hint of peach that is delicious.“
“My husband and I love this place! We go there all the time. Our favorite is the turkey and dressing and apple pie. I highly recommend trying both! The lunch manager is always so friendly and always makes sure our meal is to satisfation! When the manager remembers you by name it makes you want to come back! Keep doing an awesome Job!“
“If you're someone who loves chicken salad this would be the place to go. They serve wide range of chicken salad. They do have soups, salad, and I think 5 fresh side items to go with your chicken salad sandwich. I love chicken salad and so does my husband. We've been here several times & love it. The staff is really friendly & helpful I recommend stopping by.“
“I went there for my graduation dinner. The food was great big portions for a great price. The service was great our waitress was so awesome and her nails were cute as well.Kid-friendliness: YES, this place is kid friendly all the way!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there are wheelchair accessible options“
“Apr 2024 - After our Bluebird Cafe plan fell through, Marjie made early reservations at Jane’s for Dinner and music on Sunday night. We thoroughly enjoyed the unique menu, especially the okra appetizer. John, the proprietor, told us about his place and we settled in to listen to Addy/Domino. Fantastic musicianship from the various band members who seemed to gradually increase every few songs. I’m not sure we ever heard any original material like I expected, but she’s a wonderful singer of classics. We headed back across the river and got to see the TN statehouse all lit up on the hill.“
“EVERY SINGLE PART of my birthday dinner last night was exceptional! From crafted cocktails, crispy avocado rice, bacon wrapped dates, lamb that melted in your mouth, so much of the newly crafted autumn menu that we were able to enjoy, plus staff that made us feel like we were the most important people in the room (we are talking especially about you, Ally!). Butcher and Bee is now my "you have to go here" recommendation to anyone coming to Nashville. And order the Chef's Choice. We are still a bit in awe of the culinary splendor we received. Thank you!“
“Typical steakhouse feel and decor. Started off with the buttery rolls and cinnamon butter, it was hard not to eat to many rolls. Up next was a Cesar salad, good size salad and tasted good. Got a 20oz ribeye and baked potato they had on special for the night, both were good as expected. Real similar to a Texas Roadhouse. Overall all the food was good, the server we had was really good and friendly. I’ve eaten here a few years ago and it’s exactly the same goodness.“
“Cane here with the Secret Food Tour - East Nashville edition. Great drinks and a pretty good catfish taco. We're from Southern California, so that's a pretty high bar for fish tacos. But these were very good, and everyone else loved them.We sampled the, apparently, famous bushwacker which is a slushy Kahlua, Bailey's, milkshake situation. And also a Bloody Mary, which wasn't the star of the show, but it was good. And the service was very good and the atmosphere is cool.“
“A Nashville Staple with Irresistible Comfort FoodAs a Nashville native, Nashville Biscuit House holds a special place in my heart, and for good reason. This charming establishment never fails to deliver on both fantastic food and exceptional service. Whether you're craving a classic Southern meat and three, indulgent stacks of pancakes, or something a bit heartier like the mouthwatering fried pork chop with a side of creamy Mac and cheese and crispy tots, this place has it all.The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hearty meal with friends or family. The staff here are always friendly and attentive, making sure every visit is a memorable one.If you're looking for comfort food done right in Nashville, look no further than Nashville Biscuit House. It's a true gem in the city's culinary scene, and one that I'll keep coming back to time and time again. Highly recommended!“
“You absolutely have to try the mind-blowing fish at uncle Bud's! Trust me, it's an experience you won't want to miss. And hey, if you want to see more of me in action, head over to my awesome YouTube page, BigPapiAdventure. You won't be disappointed!“
“I really enjoyed the atmosphere of sports on the screens, families dining, friendly waitress and delicious food. It was my first Party Fowl experience, so I tried the mild hot chicken. I may go hotter next visit. Queso was outstanding as well.“
“My mom and I dined in on a Friday night and had the best service stating with Donna who took our orders. We sat in a booth and was immediately greeted by Alfredo who made sure we had everything for our food. He was so nice and even shared his favorite dishes to try next time. Then, Big Al stopped by to see if we needed anything and after sharing his favorites, he brought a sample of the turkey for us to try. So tender and juicy! I recommend trying the turkey, brisket tacos and catfish for entrees and for the sides: green beans, potato salad, okra, fries. Perfect Friday night!“
“Wendy was are waitress, she had a warm welcoming personality. She asked where we were from and also asked what we did while we were on vacation. She was very attentive and really made us feel special. We definitely will be coming back and requesting her as our waitress!“
“I needed a place to eat while I was passing through Nashville and I very much enjoyed the fried chicken, mac&cheese, and baked beans. The peach cobbler was cold, but probably would have tasted better if it was still warm. There were plenty of options to choose from and everything had good flavor and seasoning. I would eat there again.Parking: Parking is on the side and in th back“
“One of a kind retro diner with a great selection of food and even greater prices but what makes this even better is the nostalgia it brings back if your from Nashville. I don’t believe it has changed that much since they opened it. The way I think about it and the family who runs it, it’s just a labor of love. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back again!“
“I bought the bar b que chicken salad and the buffalo chicken salad. Both of which I have bought numerous times before. The bar b que chicken salad was great but the buffalo chicken salad was so hot I could not eat it. I expect it to be spicy but this was way over board. Hated to loose my $7 but it had to be dumped ?.“
“Our first time there. Just found by searching for breakfast shops. Our waitress was super nice and welcoming. She was so sweet with our 3 year old. Gave him something to color and draw on. Had him write his name on a paper and placed it on a wall so everyone can see. We will come back when we will be close to Nashville.“
“We always like the food at PDK but today we had an experience worth sharing. They were busy with the after church crowd so our food took a little long. Not enuf that we even said anything about it but when the girl brought our food, she was so apologetic and even comped us dessert. It was so nice to see how much they care about service! Thanks PDK!“
“Very laid back atmosphere. Staff all friendly, service was excellent. Enjoyed watching them flip corn bread at each table when served. Food was delicious and there was so much we had left overs for at least 2 more meals. Prices very reasonable.“
“Local joes is one of the last good meat and threes in MJ. I'm not from Tennessee originally but when I moved here the idea of a cafeteria being available in many different places was amazing (I may have gained 20 lbs my first few years cuz I can't say no to a meat and some sides!)! After the closure of Courtney's, Local Joes has been a good replacement. They have fun family events like balloon animals sometimes and even when it's busy they deal with it pretty well. It's somewhere I would be proud to take my family if they ever decided to come to Tennessee to visit! I'm giving 4/5 because their food consistency is not always 100. In my photo my food was lukewarm and kinda just OK, but I've definitely gone before and it's been some of the best food I've ever had. They also go around giving cookies sometimes and that home style touch is what MJ is all about!“
“Ample portions of delicious Chinese-adjacent food served piping hot. Dishes tend to be seasonally inspired and the menu changes often. Perfect for take-out but I would highly encourage an in-person visit for the vibe and criminally underrated cocktails. Perfect for small groups or large gatherings. Can easily accommodate any/all dietary restrictions. Staff is top notch!“
“The BEST hot chicken and a true vintage East Nashville experience. The hot chicken is legit, but if you like catfish….this is it. The spicy catfish is 2nd to none and don’t forget the green beans. Seriously the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life. Bolton’s for life!“
“I love this place.I pop in randomly when I come to Nashville/Madison. The gyro plate is my favorite. The sweet tea is great, it's similar to my mom's, lol.Anyways, if you're starving and want a good meal for a good price, I definitely suggest this place.“
“I’ve been here at least 6 times and just was introduced fairly recent. The food is fantastic! The service could be better always room for improvement. And as for the atmosphere it’s the location in Madison if that says anything. I mean it is what it is. But I am grateful for the good food and I recommend this spot if your looking for a good southern home cooked plate this is my go to. I am always prepared to wait 30 min or more but it’s worth it to me.“
“Food portions are spot on ! Very filling & very fresh! Service was great . I always make it a priority to eat here while I enjoy my stay. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with a fresh lemonade. I also would reccomend the sweet tea chicken or the beef brisket , with a side of Mac n cheese & the collard greens. Very delicious ! Dessert is also very tasty! I forgot to take pictures of all my food it was that good !“
“I was disappointed that the fryer was broken so I could not have fried chicken. I then switched to Friday Fry fish which was good. But I would have thought that a newly remodeled restaurant would be in good shape. We were disappointed also that now you have to pay for cornbread.“
“The food was very tasty and Service was fine. One of the waitresses sang a couple of songs in the stage - she had a good Voice. My husband ordered Smothered pork chops but they didn’t have the mushroom sauce that was supposed to be on them- he didn’t notice anymore.“
“Cheddar's was so good today! We haven't been to Cheddar's in years. This afternoon we thought we would stop in for a late lunch, and we are so glad that we did. The lunch rush was over, so we got right in and seated very quickly. Our server was fabulous, and our food was delicious. I had forgotten how pretty the restaurant was! You'll see in some of the pictures I took. I could have looked at the fishtank all day. Thanks Cheddar's for a wonderful lunch. We'll be back again soon.“
“We came for breakfast on a Saturday. James seated us and our server was Delao. I ALWAYS love the Cracker Barrel on Music Valley Drive when we are in town for NRB convention at Opryland. James and Delao made it an especially good meal with their hospitality. I am grateful Delao made decision to follow her career at Cracker Barrel.Parking: We had to drive around behind the store as it was a busy Saturday morning, but there were spaces available.“
“I absolutely love the gift shop! I got a couple of things for children's birthdays. Picked up a cute pair of earrings. Chopped steak fried catfish and the pancakesVegetarian options: Carrots beans greens .. offer usual and customer friendly vegetables“
“It has been a while since we tried Jake's Place.. I was pleased at the offerings on the menu; fish had hushpuppies with it, slaw available, and of course, french fries were on the menu. I can't remember if there were white beans or not, and I like white beans or baked beans with my fish. The fish was really good with no "muddy" flavor, and the portion was plentiful. Their burger was good. It did seem a little higher priced than other similar food options. What will possibly prevent me from returning is the vibe that I got from the tin pan and basket on which the food was served. Also, the "hushpuppies" didn't seem to have any onions in them, and they were a "sweet" cornbread, which I have never had in hushpuppies before. If these two things were changed as well as the huge potholes in the back parking lot, I would be excited about Jakes' Place as another meat and 3 option.“
