“We went there after the January snowstorm on January 31st and were happy to find hot food that was vegetarian and flavorful and not a cold raw salad or burnt Brussels sprouts. We prefer eating hot and cooked fresh vegetarian food so we’re happy to find that with some nice ambience too. Our server girl was nice and the bar guy was happily amused that I could easily drink his spicy drink without calling BURN…haha! He made me a spicier drink and that was good too.“

“The staff was so friendly. We sat at the bar/kitchen and were able to have conversation with the sous chefs. Everything we had was delicious. Beef tartar was FANTASTIC. focacia was out of this world. Only regret I had was not ordering the crudo but was able to see if made multiple times.“

“Each time we fly through Nashville, we stopped here to eat. The food is really good, and the service is top-notch. The manager, Maverick? I think, will be seen busing tables during busy times. The wait staff is always friendly. This time we had Tracy- a spunky gal with a great attitude. No matter what you order you can’t go wrong with a side of their queso. That wonderfully smooth hot cheese dip is good on everything. Also, most of the time we split when we go here- we get the double patty burger- it’s excellent!“

“The atmosphere was immaculate. The food was also very good. The service was inconsistent. We had 2 tables, 2 servers. One tables food came out very fast. We didn’t get ours until they finished theirs and was cleaned off and bagged up. No explanation or check in from them server. We had to regularly ask for service from the server. Otherwise we got what we wanted but no split checks was a bit of an annoyance for our group but it is what it is. I’d probably go elsewhere before returning here for the service aspect.“

“For how much i anticipated this restaurant my experience didnt live up to the hype.

Nothing bad happened by any means, it just felt like a normal Tuesday dinner.

The service was fine. Food was fine. We got the trout, the kids burger, and the famous biscuits.

Trout was great (a tad salty but the rice wasnt so that helped balanced it). The kids burger's ratio was off balance. Too little meat with too much bun. The bun was good, though. The potato wedge were fantastic. The biscuits were a tad dry, but if you lather it with the sweetened butter, it added good flavor.

Our drinks were really good. I got the Can Can Kick It and my husband got the Ghost something.

“My kids took me for my birthday. Walking in, the ladies at the front were very nice wishing me a happy birthday. Our waiter, Clifton, could not have been any nicer or attentive. My menu came with a Happy Birthday Anna written on it. The whole experience was really special. Everyone was just friendly and did their job over and above expectations. The food was very good. My daughter and I split a 12 oz Cowgirl ribeye which was perfect. My son got the Cowboy ribeye and he said it was amazing. The Mac n cheese was good. My DIL got the pasta primavera and she liked it. The butter cake was great and the waiter surprised me with Crème Brûlée. All very good. Great atmosphere. Definitely will be going back. Thank you for making my birthday memorable!“

“Velvet Taco has great tasting flavor combinations, But… the tortillas are cold grocery store type. I ended up just eating the inside of my tacos with chips because the tortillas reminded me of playdoh… change the tortillas to a more authentic (cooked) tortilla and it’ll be sooo much better!!“

“we went to this restraunt during my husband's work party last night and it was amazing! the drinks were made so fast! they were made very well, you can tell that the bar tender really takes the drinks seriously in the best way! :) their very social and kind, they were super calm even through everyone getting their and getting drinks prepped and sent out, then the food was a solid 9/10! for me personally I'm a picky person but i loved just about everything, the servers and host were also very kind I wish I had gotten all their names to reccomend! the bar tenders name was Christian and he was truly wonderful at his job, my favorite was the creme Brule dessert, it was sweet and smooth and crunchy and perfect, I truly reccomend this place for a calm or social event where your able to truly relax in a wonderful little place ❤️ also the alcohol selection was really nicely selected i had tried the spicy sangria, pomegranate margarita, polar pear & blackberry something, they were also so good about telling the ingredients and what they like about the drinks makes it an easier selection, or they have bourbon for those who love a strong smooth drink“

“Everything was great until it was time to pay. The inability to split checks properly was very frustrating as our table had to transfer money from phone to phone and bank to bank in order to pay for our food individually under one tab. If someone wants to pay for their own food that should be an option automatically. The payment options killied the experience. Our waitress did not really ask for drink orders just floated incase we wanted to ask her for something else. The food was great! And ambience was fantastic. I would come back but never again in a group.“

“Visiting the hotel for a conference, we stopped in at Stompin' Grounds for a place to sit and have coffee. I ended up having a smoothie, and it was hands down the best I have ever had. If you notice the smoothie made with broccoli, avocado, coconut, and ginger among other things, trust me, it's outstanding. The other two in my party had coffee and were happy with it. Even though we did not order food, we had attentive, friendly service and were not rushed. Lovely place.“
