We were really looking forward to brunch today, but unfortunately, our experience fell short in several ways.

We sat on the back patio with our dog while I went inside to order. I specifically asked for our food and coffee to be served on plates and in mugs, with to-go containers on the side in case it rained. However, everything arrived in to-go containers, which took away from the dine-in experience we were hoping for.

The food itself was just okay—nothing special. Honestly, we could have made a better breakfast and lattes at home. But when you go out to eat, it’s for the experience and to enjoy a delicious meal, neither of which we really had.

On top of that, I ordered extra shots of espresso in both of our lattes, but we’re fairly certain they weren’t added. My fiancé’s shrimp and grits included eggs we paid extra for, but they were extremely undercooked. My breakfast sandwich had barely a scrape of the avocado we paid extra for. We also ordered French toast to share, and while it was fine, it wasn’t enough to redeem the overall experience.

For an $80 meal, we expected better quality and attention to detail. The staff seemed very busy, and I wasn’t able to get anyone’s attention to address these concerns in the moment, but I wanted to reach out because we really believe in giving businesses the chance to make things right.

I’d love the opportunity to speak with a manager about our experience, and I would truly appreciate some kind of refund or compensation. Thank you for your time!

Got the Broadbent bacon omelette to go.
It had no bacon. Come on guys.

FYI their egg dishes include toast but no potatoes or greens.
Would have been wiser to order from 51st St deli.

This sandwich was $11 for a single piece of thinly sliced turkey. I’ve lived in Nashville for over a decade and never really got the appeal of Frothy Monkey, despite trying it out many times.

I like this place, but have had a couple disappointing experiences here. I stopped in for a spontaneous coffee today as a pick-me-up after a tough week and a kick off to my bday weekend. This is, stupidly, a big deal for me—I rarely treat myself to coffee shop coffees. There were no single seats open, so I grabbed a spot at a table in the corner. Two servers asked if I’d be joined by anyone else. Neither was friendly. One told me I was taking up space at a 4-top table and that he’d need to move me. After I followed him around and he confirmed there were no other seats, he told me I could sit in my original seat for now and he’d move me when something came available. I just wanted to sit for 10 minutes and drink a special coffee at a coffee shop, but I felt completely unwelcome, in the way, and just wanted to leave. It honestly was a big bummer.

Food is fine, always a pretty long wait. Better coffee in Nashville

We had a large party on Saturday, 9/28/24. There was a fairly long wait by the time we got there at 11/11:30, so go early.

I got the BE Hive Bowl ($15), which was good. I tried the Vanilla-Cinnamon French Toast ($14), which was fine.

Good for large groups, but prepare for a wait!

Nice brunch, shrimp and grits were really good, and the service was good. Enjoyed the coffee. Missing a star because I ordered my eggs over easy and the came out over hard with the yolks broken. I asked the guy (who brought the food) if he could replace them, the whole point was the runny eggs, right? He did, but looked liked he couldn’t care. He returned shortly with 3 eggs (I ordered 2) with one egg completely over hard (again) one over easy and one with the yolk already broken and running. The andouille sausage was also very good. If I could rate 3.5 I would have, but the rest of the meal was god and the server was very nice.

The coffee is pretty good, the ambiance of the location is nice, and the service I experienced was fine. The food, however, is overpriced, flavorless crap. I ordered a bagel bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and I couldn’t even force myself to finish it. It was like eating cardboard. Somehow even the bacon was devoid of flavor. They obviously don’t make the bagels in-house, but they need a new bagel supplier or remove bagels from the menu altogether because even the supermarket has better quality bagels. My spouse ordered the Betsy chicken salad sandwich. It was similarly devoid of taste and it didn’t have mayonnaise (or if it did, we couldn’t tell). Just a pile of dry, unseasoned chicken with tomato slice. With the first bite, I scanned the tables around me to see if there were other tables actually eating their food. But they all made the right call of just having coffee drinks or brunch cocktails ?

I actually ate at this place previously and had a farm breakfast. I hadn’t noticed at the time that it also didn’t have any flavor because I put a lot of hot sauce on it. That’s the only way to make their food edible. To drown it in hot sauce. If you come here, don’t order their food ?

Great food, chill place to be work with laptop, would go back again for sure. Coconut oat milk drink was delicious, the meal we order was super tasty!

Came back second time, shrimp and grits, firepot amai matcha latte And coconut drink with oat milk was so good.

Came back a few more times and food and drinks still very good, tried the cookies too and love them!

The food was mediocre at best. The sausage patties were literally hockey pucks. Burnt, overcooked and dry. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry. Eggs over well were decent, had good flavor. Sourdough toast was delicious. Cheeseburger was super overcooked and served with tortilla chips which was a bit odd to me. Bacon was overcooked but crispy. Jalapeño cheddar bagel did not hit the mark and barely comes with cream cheese. It was dry with no flavor just bits of jalapeños in it which were very dry, no cheddar flavor at all. My Havana latte and Irish coffee was delicious. Sprite didn’t taste like sprite and once I told the server she decided to tell me they were out of sprite. Not sure why we weren’t told when we ordered it! French toast was boring and dry as well. Not sure if their secret is fried and dry but everything lacked flavor and was way too dry. Service was horrible. Ambiance is very nice indoors. I believe you can also sit outside. I would only get coffee drinks here and not eat.
