Humphreys Street Coffee Shop

Completely scammed me on the food. $6 for a “hot honey biscuit with avocado” and this is what I was given. Cute place that I really wanted to support, but the lack of effort on the food was unacceptable.

LOVE this social enterprise! Excellent coffee beans. They coordinate with a GF DF baker for some pastry options. Friendly staff. Cool space. Really can't wait to go back and spend more time here.

The ambiance is great and staff nice but the portions are small, prices high and the coffee tastes tart. Not the best. They mix the cream and sugar in for you so be sure you specify what you want. I ordered a large $4 and they handed me a small cup saying they have 1 size. Gas station coffee tastes better

My favorite coffee shop. The inside is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is great! And if you find street parking it's free which is a huge bonus!

My husband owns a coffee shop in LA so I don’t take writing reviews lightly and will only write them if I think a place is good. The space is really nice and the drinks were good, but service is a very crucial part of running a good small business and can ruin the whole experience. There is no excuse for an employee being rude or disinterested. I understand context is important. Having 1 or 2 employees working during a rush is more understandable. However, six employees with no line, hanging out, & seemingly annoyed with a customer ordering, does not make sense. We will not be back unfortunately. The market in Nashville is saturated with coffee shops with good drinks and friendly staff.

If you like the taste of fresh roasted coffee this place isn’t for you. My Coffee tasted like doughnuts, and the caffeine was weak. The barista explained their coffee beans are infused with spices during the roasting process. If I knew the coffee was meant to taste like a fruit loop I would have passed. Don’t recommend this place for coffee.
Update: Please educate your staff when explaining the roasting process, as those were her words.

You just have to come in knowing the employees will be teenage kids; the company is investing in youth but it's also difficult as a customer sometimes :)
