Had a strange experience here earlier tonight. Came to see a show with my girlfriend and we sit down at a table and our server comes up to our table and practically sits down, doesn’t say a thing for like 45 seconds and then says.. can I help you? Apparently we missed that it wasn’t a seat yourself type of place. Okay our bad. He proceeded to bring us a menu after a decent wait and then was incredibly rude when we tried to order. Jane's Hideaway is a unique restaurant with a funky, cool atmosphere and decor. The menu is limited, but everything ordered is good, with the chicken sandwich, pot pie and cornbread being amazing. The restaurant has live music almost every night, which may not be suitable for everyone after 8pm. It is a great place to hear different singer songwriters and see the house band, Greenwood Rye, with incredible bluegrass skills and great vocal harmonies. The food is delicious, with dishes like chicken pot pie being particularly praised. The whiskey menu is also impressive and fairly priced. The Brussel sprouts in a red wine gastrique are the best ever, and the grilled cheese with Peach jam is unique and tasty. It is a great place to unwind, with service and atmosphere that are second to none.
