We love eating here! Servers are top notch. Food is delicious, and the menu changes seasonally. Everything I've had I'd order again. Their pop-up themed bars are also cute and well decorated!

Man…
I simply cannot put into words how badly I was truly disappointed by Makeready L&L. Apparently they have gone through a change in management, and with that change there was a significant shift in the atmosphere and the food of the establishment.
The new menu was limited in its complexity, bland, boring, lifeless, and an “utter white noise location of food” where a school lunchable invoked more complex flavors. They say to be some sort of Italian revival restaurant… but it just speaks to cheaply produced WAY OVERPRICED bland dishes.
Thus place is officially dead ?
And will not be back to life until there is a change of management and food direction.

Really interesting and unique for Nashville TN. If you are eating here you can get free valet parking, which is a huge plus. This was themed dining when we went of Alice in wonderland. Super cute and the menu kept with the theme. Portions should definitely be a bit more. The waitress did worn us though which I thought was great, I didn't feel as disappointed. Drinks were unique also. Loved the options for drinks and food. Not great direction on how to get to the restaurant once in the building. Staff could clearly see we hadn't been there and just said it's around the corner. Took us a minute to find. The valet was great (we thought) until we had our vehi returned to us with a vape smell. Super gross for us and VERY unprofessional. That should never happen and we tipped him before knowing that happened.

The Down-the-Rabbit-Hole decor was… interesting. But I won’t get hung up on that, in part because by the time you experience Makeready, the decor and theme will probably be different.
You see, they change it from time to time. Artists, decorators, and culinary creatives will whip up some new mix, and Makeready will be something new.
What won’t change, I expect, will be Makeready’s deliciousness. We tried an Alice-in-Wonderland-themed cocktail, which rather than being over-the-top sugary nonsense was excellent, and a glass of good Montepulciano. This we paired with a crisp salad, beef carpaccio, and virginica oysters that tasted almost as briny-fresh as if we were by the sea.
The service was great too, and plenty friendly. (Special shout-out to Jo and Kailey, who took such good care of us.)
If you’re at Hotel Noelle, or you’re anywhere in downtown Nashville, give Makeready a try. From the hotel lobby, take the elevator down.

I was there the other night for dinner. The decorations were incredibly fun, but honest to God that was some of the worst food I’ve eaten at a restaurant. The chicken was super dry, the risotto undercooked, and the Swiss roll was so caked with cheap frosting it was barely edible. My friend ordered the Octopus and it was cooked alllll the way through. She used the words “it has the texture of a McDonald’s chicken nugget”.
We went to the Queen of hearts bar after and ordered fries and marinated olives, along with two cocktails.
The olives came out hot…. Like, put in the microwave hot. The manager recommended the red cabbage tequila cocktail so she tried it and it was just… so incredibly bad. It definitely tasted like cabbage (that had gone bad). Moral of the story, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
The up side is the staff was super friendly, but you couldn’t pay me to eat there again.

Their "Down the Rabbit Hole" experience and menu were top notch!! We dressed up like a couple of mad hatters and enjoyed an absolutely stunning meal! The log dessert that looked like a Smurf mushroom house was amazing and brought huge smiles to our faces

Did the Down the Rabbit hole pop-up. To get to the restaurant we used the elevator to go downstairs. As soon as we entered, it smelled like an unkept toilet room in the entire restaurant. The decor was cheaply done. Did not feel immersive at all.The host was very unfriendly, crass and unwelcoming. The server was nearly throwing our drinks on the table. The only time the server lent a smile was when she handed the check. The warmest person was a guy who seemed to be the manager (dressed in suit & tie) when he handed us our food.We also used the valet service. They told me if I spent $40+ the service would be free & just to show proof. I took a picture of my receipt. Waited for the valet for 20 minutes. Showed my receipt for the valet to tell me that I was supposed to get it stamped down stairs. No one seemed very accommodating or welcoming despite being rather slow.
Loved the space - great for my friend’s birthday for the Allison Wonderland Theme. I was really disappointed with the food since there weren’t a ton of gluten free options and food was $40 ish a plate. Other than that great

We went for the Down the Rabbit hole theme brunch! My eggs benedict with smoked salmon was very delicious as was my espresso martini. Took one star off just because the brunch menu didn't have the fun theming like we were expecting with specialty cocktails and menu items.
We went to the Down the Rabbit Hole (Alice and Wonderland themed) popup restaurant. The decor, menu names, and themed dessert presentation was beautiful!

This place is Clickbait. All of the food was bad, we sent some back, the replacements were worse. I’ve had better food at the airport. Cute idea and servers were nice but the kitchen is obviously a disaster.
