Stopped here on a whim, out of pure curiosity. It’s fantastic! Really tasty food. Not overhyped with sugars and spices. Just good home cooked meals. I had the Lunch Tamales and they were perfection! I’ll be coming back here again.
Newly remodeled but established over thirteen years ago, Monterrey is now one of my favorite pit stops. The staff is friendly and hustles to provide the best experience possible. The portions are absolutely incredible!!

I called over 8 “Mexican” restaurants while visiting Nashville last week, and no one was / served caldo! My MIL was sick and wanted authentic hot soup, and this place is IT!!
