My hubby attended an experience “ blend your own bourbon” today. Unfortunately, he didn’t get the name of the host but I would like to leave a comment here (which I never do!) that he came back really disappointed and felt rushed through the whole experience.
Needless to say, he likes the company and the bourbon and he has done several other tasting experiences but today was really unsatisfactory. And it is all because of the host. He was arrogant and not very welcoming, didn’t ask anything about the background. If he had he would have found out that my husband is a collector and experienced hunter who had done a lot of tastings and knows his stuff. It was very entry level and disengaged for the price.
It was ok. $25 for three half ounce pours a bit much. I wanted to try others too. Bottle your own is cool if you find something you like. Worth a stop.
Review based on service or the lack there of. Visiting from out of town. In Nashville for a week vacation. Trying local breweries and distilleries. We came to Nashville Barrel Co to do a tasting and see what else they had to offer. We showed up about 20 to 30 minutes after they opened. We were eventually greeted after looking around their merch area. Once we were greeted , we quickly explained the process on tastings. That person let us be and only came back to tell us he was leaving and someone else would be coming up from the back. We did eventually see someone else who said hello and kept on going. We milled around a little bit more and then decided to leave. Never having tasted anything. You can have the best product, but if you cannot serve it, it doesn't matter. Try better, Nashville Barrel Company.
The space was nice, and while someone greeted us when we came in, he walked away and no one else ever tried to help us. We never tried anything, just looked at merch while waiting.
I'd like to give a shout-out to my friends at Nashville Barrel Co. The space is stunning, and the staff is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend them for your next event or just to go and taste their top-notch whiskey; it's a wonderful experience. Nashville Barrel Co Thank you to my friend Jennifer Hinds and the entire team at NBC. You guys killed it!
I wouldn’t call the experience anything special or a learning experience. It was basically a tasting experience which you could have spent half the money and just did a flight at the bar. Way over priced and not much of an explanation of the Bourbon making process. Not even a video explaining how the Bourbon was made, explain about the barrels used, the different things we were tasting was brief. Guide was nice enough but seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people in the room. Was really disappointed and was hoping for a cool experience like the reviews spoke of. I’ve done several tours in other locations and this one fell very short.
We visited Nashville Barrel Company Distillery and Whiskey Bar during our road trip back to DC after spending Thanksgiving with family. While we were initially excited about the visit, our experience turned out to be bittersweet.
On the positive side, the place itself is aesthetically pleasing, and the products we tried were excellent. A young lady at the bar was an absolute highlight—she was warm, welcoming, and provided exceptional customer service. Her sweet demeanor, paired with the presence of her adorable dog, made us feel at home and added a touch of charm to the experience.
However, our visit was overshadowed by an unpleasant interaction with a gentleman at the front desk, who appeared to be Hispanic. From the beginning, he seemed annoyed and unwelcoming, as if our presence was a bother. His attitude left us feeling uncomfortable and judged unfairly, despite the fact that we spent close to $200 during our visit.
The most upsetting moment occurred as I was leaving. I was holding my own phone and sweater, yet he called me back, implying that I might be stealing something. This was humiliating and completely unnecessary. Our family prides itself on being respectful, and the insinuation was both offensive and hurtful.
Additionally, when we asked about the price of an item, his response was curt and dismissive, mentioning a markdown with a clear attitude. When my father mistakenly picked up a more expensive bottle, the correction felt more like a reprimand than a polite clarification.
While we truly appreciated the kind service from the bartender and the quality of the products, this incident left us with a negative impression. It’s disheartening to be treated this way, especially after what was meant to be a joyful stop during our holiday travels. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we are unlikely to return, as everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect when supporting a business.
This is the reason I am giving 3 stars—the bartender and the quality of the products deserve recognition, but the poor treatment by another staff member left us disappointed.
Awesome experience. Thanks, Briley!
My first whiskey tasting amazing. Briley and Sterling were fantastic from their customer service skills to social skills to make us feel so comfortable. Thank you

Briley was a delight - not only was he willing to provide us a a lot of information on whiskey and tequila but he played a game and shouted out a hell yea for us all! I would recommend this 10 out of 10.
Plus he’s attractive - he won’t be single for long ladies! Cum while it’s hot!
Great tasting experience! Briley was really helpful and nice! And the quality of the bourbon was top tier ! Highly recommend!
Amazing, nothing more to say
Great personnel (Briley and David), atmosphere and slushies/ whiskey!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had high expectations and they were far exceeded. Dave and James , thank you for the hospitality, education, and treating us like family.
