Great food, just a limited menu.

Recommended dishes: Duck Confit, French Onion Soup, Steak Frites Green Peppercorn Butter

We loved coming here and we have many of our friends come here and love it. My wife grew up in France and this place feels like home.

This feels like a true Fench staple and not just an American version. I highly recommend this place.

The only request I have for this place is for them to be more generous with the bread. The French are known for their bread and this place is a bit lacking in that department. This is a minor thing, but if they fixed this then it would make this place one of the best restaurants in Nashville.

Absolutely disgusting. The culinary equivalent of eating thawed frozen baguettes. I tried the steak tartare and the duck confit. The sauces were heated too highly and split, the cooking was inconsistent, and the garnishes were certainly choices. I think other people had ordered the steak frites, and those all came with a French flag stuck in the steak. Never again. Even Julia Child would roll in her grave.

Had a very nice experience. The restaurant is very small and cozy, employees are very kind and friendly, and our food was great! Emily A was a great waitress and took excellent care of us. My only complaint is they have a smallest bathrooms ever! So beware, especially if you’re a larger person, you might want to hold it lol!

I celebrated my birthday here and had an amazing experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service was outstanding. I had the steak frites and a Creme Brulee for dessert which both were out of this world. I would highly recommend Once Upon a Time In France and can’t wait to come back!

We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was exquisite, made from very good ingredients - we really enjoyed it, and I had no allergic reactions to anything, despite being allergy prone. Highly recommend duck Confit, beef bourguignon and paté there. And chocolate mousse for dessert was excellent 👌

This is EXACTLY what a French bistro is like! So darling and intimate inside. Our server was lovely and made sure everything was perfect.

I had the French onion soup and the beef bourgignone. I would have liked more cheese on the soup, but the beef was PERFECTION, fall apart tender with just the right amount of wine in the sauce.

We will absolutely be making this a staple of our trips to Nashville!

Expanding my culinary experiences, French food is considered to be the best in the world. I can honestly say it was delicious. I even ate a dish that I thought I would ever eat, Escargots and it was divine. The butter for it was so good, that my little sister got it on her steak. I went with the Duck Confit, it was so good. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for making my first time eating French food one to remember.

I was really curious about this place, we went to celebrate a special day and made a reservation.

Nice comments and limited menu caught my attention.

They gave our table the by the window at the entrance. But the restaurant was very cold inside and I was literally freeze . The ambience inside was good, but it was really cold.

The waiters were extremely polite and knowledgeable about the menu.

We started with onion soup at the place where two of us went and bought a cheese plate.

Onion soup was extremely average and had raw egg yolk in it. Frankly, I ate onion soup in many parts of the world and it was the first time I saw raw eggs in it and I didn't like it. The onion soup didn't taste bad, but I would expect it to be more buttery and thick. I would have expected the bread on it to be more crispy and with cheese.
Unfortunately, the bread they served also was cold.

I bought Filet Mignon as the main dish. The tempeture of cooking of the meat was very good. The salad served with it was a very simple and unsuitable salad.

I would have expected Demi glace sauce to be more aromatic and thick.

We order creme brulee as a closing and it was good but I ate better.

140 dollars came to the check , I gave 172 dollars with the tip.

Great overall experience - the friendly staff, atmosphere give you a warm charming welcome which pairs well with the outstanding, authentic food. The head chef Anton cooks exquisitely! Highly recommend for a night out!

Stopped in here one evening right before closing time and was treated to an excellent French meal.
Warning: save room for dessert.
Had the duck and the beef bourguignon. Excellent taste and they don’t skimp on their portions. I had to struggle to finish the beef and still leave room for dessert (note to chef: please put less salt in the beef).
Finally, for chocolate lovers, they have a dark chocolate mousse- to die for. If you like chocolate, force yourself to be hungry enough to order it.
It’s a cute cafe on the side of the road.
Well worth it.
