We’re visiting Nashville for my birthday & I found Papa Turney’s on Instagram. Man…on the way to the room my party of 7 discussed all our food & how great it was. The ribs were fall off the bone tender! The Mac & cheese, grilled cabbage, smoked wings & baked beans all got mentioned in great detail. You will not be disappointed! We certainly wasn’t.
On vacation we looked up restaurants and came upon this one, we're so glad we went. The atmosphere is laid back, the food was delicious(we had pulled chicken and brisket with potato salad and baked beans), the employees were very welcoming. If I lived closer we'd go here often.
Service was amazing. Atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The price was a bit high for the amount and taste of food. I got the brisket plate and my husband got the rib plate. We both got greens and fried cabbage. The sides were over cooked and the meat had no seasoning or sauce. But the meat was tender.. yay! It’s worth giving a try.
