proper bagel Reviews
I was so excited to go to Proper Bagel, only to find out they serve gluten-free bagels only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Is this not discrimination for people that can only eat gluten-free?
So, if I want to eat at Proper Bagel, I have to go on a weekend? So sorry, I will not be giving any good review reviews for visiting this place again.
So...Facebook asks..."What do you recommend about Proper Bagel?" The answer is...everything! As a transplant from the northeast CT-NY-NJ "tri-state area" down to the south, it's tough finding bagels and the like in the Northern Alabama / Tennessee areas here that I remember from growing up. I have dreams about their bagels. I've never loved a food the way I love their bagels. When I die, I hope heaven has a Proper Bagel.
Yes, you will have to wait (usually 15ish minutes) but it's a small business doing their best. The Proper Crew is always kind and helpful, and I love the diversity and individuality I see every visit!

Proper Bagel is a restaurant that offers impressive food, service, and atmosphere, with a taste of New York right in the heart of Nashville. The bagels and lox sandwich, while taking 20 minutes to make, are worth the wait. The selection of cream cheeses is a must-try and they have a variety of flavors. The bagel quality is good, but what truly sets this place apart is the amazing lox. Customers have praised the delicious and super yummy food, noting everything tastes fresh. The restaurant is super clean and the customer service is spot on. It is a busy spot and remains a true gem in Nashville. They have Dr. Brown’s soda and exciting options like the pork role.
