Made to order food like the hot chicken plate with pimento mac and cheese and seasoned fries is a killer meal but worth the wait. The adjacent Springwater bar, one of Nashville’s oldest bars which dates back to the Prohibition era, adds to the experience. With great fried chicken, free pool, and a welcoming atmosphere, Red's Hot Chicken is a must-visit spot for delicious food in Nashville. The chicken tenders and the crunch wrap are absolutely incredible. The hot level is super hot so watch out. It is a little shack with no real seating, just a walk-up window. They tell you upfront how long it’ll take. Grab a casual beer next door or hang out while you wait. The owner is really down to earth and friendly. It is the definition of unassuming: simple setup, no frills, just amazing food. Totally worth the stop.
