We really loved Southern Grist when we first found it. Great craft beers and a great food menu, but as of late, the food menu disappoints. Anyone can do burgers and beers. Bring back the chicken sandwich, bao buns and vinegar potatoes. Your menu made you unique now you’re just like everyone else.

My husband is a brewer in OKC, and when we travel, we like to start out exploring a city by trying out a couple breweries. For our trip to Nashville, we pulled right into town and up to the bar at Souther Grist. That ended up being an elite decision. We arrived and immediately hit it off with the staff, who chatted with us our entire time. We ended up sampling several of their beers, and each were excellent. Tim was an absolute love and so grateful he was serving us this evening as we were discussing future plans and was both helpful but also aware we were chatting and respected our us time vs other places we have been where the bartender feels the need to insert themselves.
