Taste of Italy Pizza & Restaurant

This place belies its modest strip mall appearance with outstanding food. BYOB (package store next door). The poor folks there were struggling with an internet and phone outage when we visited but still had a great attitude. The calzone was a piece of art and my lasagna was outstanding.

Went to give this place a try because we'd seen some people talking about it on our neighborhood's Facebook group. We had zero expectations going in but the whole experience was super weird. Waitress wasn't very nice / knowledgable of the menu. She also brought food out on a cart that had cleaning supplies on it. Didn't love that. I have NO IDEA why this place is only 3 stars. This was THE best Italian food I have ever had (and i grew up in an Italian household). Every dish that we got was amazing. The bruschetta was so fresh and delicious. The salads were great. The main dishes...oh my gosh it was absolutely delicious. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs.
