Our only BBQ experience while visiting Nashville did not disappoint! Nice proprietors, yummy (and very filling!) food and fun decor for a reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

I'm an old Dallasite and this place has delicious Tex BBQ just like Texas. But I miss the old days of Big D .., horses livestock and fields of farming to a city no one knew ...

Always great food and good service
We had an amazing experience at Tex’s World Famous Bar-B-Q. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is rustic and authentic, yet very well organized and clean — it really gives you that classic Southern BBQ vibe.
The food? Simply excellent. The brisket was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides were delicious too, and everything came at a very fair price. You get great quality without overpaying.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for real BBQ and a true local experience in Nashville!
Quick service. Food was good
Nope I thought I was getting actual bbq !! None of the food was any good to me personally

Worst ever dry pulled pork cornbread taste like flour and to top it off first time in my life I gagged and had to throw away deviled eggs.
Awesome as usual!!!
Pretty awesome place
I’m giving all 5’s, but just know the food is basic good. Didn’t have anything bad. Didn’t have anything amazing. I did really like the brisket and of all things the toast. Pork was vinegary tasting, but I’ve found that’s a TN regional thing. Their homemade mild sauce wasn’t too bad. Turnip greens had some nice heat. Slaw was very good. Mac n Cheese was ok. Potato salad… acceptable, but not my favorite. Atmosphere was like stepping back 30 years in old Nashville. Loved it! Excellent service as well. No issues. And the price was very favorable. Long story short, I’d go back.
All the way from Cleveland Ohio I come to Nashville often for work.I just so happened to stumble across this place a few years back I visit every time I come to Nashville this is definitely my favorite food spot. The food is very delicious and flavorful. Now one bad thing I could say about this place is it’s only open 3 hrs a day that sucks.People schedules change all the time so unfortunately some people can’t visit this place often.
