Tex’s World Famous Bar-B-Q. My son and I were looking for a good quality barbecue place in Nashville and we came across Tex’s.
The establishment has all the hallmarks of a proper down to earth barbecue place with a very homely atmosphere and welcoming feeling. The staff were so pleasant and friendly to a couple of indecisive Brit’s who couldn’t decide what to have. The food was delicious with large portions (to us at least) and unlimited home made ice tea. My first disappointment was that Tex’s barbecue is so much better than I can make it home, it demoralised me … my second disappointment is that Tex’s is too far for us to regularly commute to for top tier barbecue. Those are two ‘me’ problems, the only ‘you’ problem is if you’re in Nashville and haven’t tried Tex’s, ‘you’ don’t have the experience to talk about barbecue. Don’t let yourself down, visit Tex’s and you’ll know this review was accurate.

I really like the bologna and sausage. Brisket is good, ribs just OK. Cowboy beans are really good and the sweet heat sauce.

Arrived at Tex's on a Friday evening with a few friends that said I'd enjoy it and have a good time

My first time here was in 1997 and tried the sampler platter (with BBQ bologna of course). It was fantastic then and what is absolutely amazing is that they still have the same quality BBQ to this day. Nashville has changed so much it is almost unrecognizable but some things like Tex's World Famous Bar-B-Q are so good they just don't need to!

Tex's World Famous BBQ is the best! Tim and his staff are Fabulous and the food is Delicious! The service is superb! I just absolutely love the atmosphere & decor. This place makes me feel like I'm going back in time visiting my Grandparents! I can hardly wait to go back on a Thursday for Rib Day! Tim thank you a fantastic lunch, the special fish gift and for making us feel special!!!

My first time there and the parking lot was packed and I was like I should probably get back in my car and find something else but I really wanted to eat here. I thought I was going to have this super long wait and turns out it's cafeteria line style and I was in and out faster than I could believe and I was already on my way to get to my Airbnb so I could eat lunch and then go to the expo at the fairgrounds. Their food is most excellent and the portions are super generous I would be there more often if I live closer. I probably go in there at least two or three times a week. If you're traveling through Nashville, you need to stop here and give yourself a truly delicious meal
