On point...authentic Chicago style hot dog. Tastes just like you've teleported one from Nicky's on 35th and Western.
After moving here from the Chicago area, we were craving Chicago-style pizza and Italian beef sandwiches. This place is the real deal! It's definitely a small "hole in the wall" restaurant, and we heard about it through a coworker who had also moved here from Chicago. Off Road Diner and Dogs is a much-needed restaurant in Oak Ridge, described as a place made by the people for the people. The food is awesome, really good, and great, with fantastic prices. Guests recommend trying the brisket, pulled pork sandwich, hot dogs, Chicago dog, Italian beef sandwich, Italian sausage, cheeseburger, smash burger, chili cheese fries, ribbon fries, funnel cake fries, and coney. The Italian beef is called amazing.
The staff is super nice, professional, friendly, fast, and excellent, with service that is highly praised. The owner and team show undeniable work ethic, passion, and care, going above and beyond to help customers. The place is very clean and the food is fresh made, though the interior is simple in design and not very big. It is certainly not the fanciest place by a long shot, but that doesnβt mean dirty. Many reviewers state they will definitely recommend this place to everyone, telling friends and family to try the food.
