Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Freddy's is a growing fast food chain, featuring frozen custard, shakes and malts, along with burgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, etc. Its menu is not unlike that of Culver's. Freddy's motif is somewhat reminiscent of a 1950's diner. But for 'fast food', we thought the wait time of 25 minutes for a couple of burgers was unreasonable. There were several tables in the dining room that were experiencing long waits as well. Some impatient faces, to be sure. Sadly, when our food at last was ready, it was clearly not worth waiting for. The burger patties were very thin and VERY well done-- dry and crispy. Not good. Perhaps Freddy's does a better job with its dessert items, but as a burger joint, don't even bother. There are so many other good options.

Ordered online this evening and my husband went to pick it up. We live less than a mile away. He waited for the food to be made while he was there and came straight home with it. The fries were freezing and stale. The burger was a mess and cold as well and the order was also missing requested sauce that was on the receipt. There’s no excuse for food that’s cold when someone is waiting for their order to be made it should 100% be fresh at that point. We live less than a mile away so it’s not like it was a long drive before I received the food. Very disappointed and hungry.

I’ve never been to a Freddy’s before so while I was in town, I stopped to try. Incredibly welcoming employees here! Also a nice, clean restaurant. Way more bright and welcoming than a Five Guys. Anyway, I don’t know what a “steak burger” is but I was super happy to see that they are smash style burgers! Very tasty! Tots were cooked to the perfect crispy doneness too. That said, both the burger and the tots were far too salty. Not sure if that’s the recipe or if it was just a one time thing. One star off for the near painful level of salt. I’ll definitely be back though! Stoked to try some of their custard items!

Ordered a meal - burger, fries, and drink. Listened to the lady substitute the drink for a concrete over the speaker, then pulled up to the window. She gave us the burger, and almost forgot the concrete, so she went back inside. We notice there are no fries in the bag and tell her, and she tells us she didn’t ring it up as a meal because she says she didn’t think we still wanted the meal when we ordered the concrete. Huh??

Loud the cashier misunderstood a 3 piece chicken strip meal. Instead we received a kids meal. When I asked for help to resolve the issue. They had to look up to see what I was charged for. Now understand my daughter is 12 I haven't ordered a kids meal in years. And I more than willing to pay the difference. Instead all I received was their is nothing we can do.

I had the standard double steak burger with onion rings. Nothing to complain about but nothing to brag about really either. The onion rings were good but did not have salt, the hamburger was pretty good but was over-salted. With tax by Bill was about $11.50
