A landmark of Ooltewah and greater Chattanooga. In a city with so many food destinations, Couch’s has been a family favorite of ours for generations, with reasonable prices and that small-town, community feel.
The place is an old fashion feel to them. It’s be the type of place I would come back to eat. It has great food. And the service was excellent. Everyone who works here are friendly. I would tell people to come and try the food.
A mile and 3 turns off the highway, you'll find Couch's. They are the real deal. Been there since 1946 and just the amount of locals inside should tip you off that the food will be the southern BBQ you've been searching for. Both the chicken and pork were amazing. Desserts include sweet potato, pecan, and buttermilk chess pies. We shared the latter and it was a great finish to our meal. The atmosphere was the cap to our stop, though. Everyone waved or said hello...
