I brought my family here for Ember and Elms thanksgiving buffet. To say we were dissatisfied is an understatement. For 4 adults and a child we paid over 400 dollars. I never mind paying a high price if its worth it, however this was so disappointing. The food was very underwhelming. It was also a buffet in which half of the food was empty, and when we said something we were told that they were just out. That they ran completely out of gravy. That they had served it all. I shouldn't let this upset me so much, but being its Thanksgiving we wanted to treat my mother and father to something special and nice. It was kinda embarrassing. We will not go back.

On a positive note, Our waiter was super nice.

Lulu provided excellent service. She was very attentive to our needs and make sure that our drinks never went dry Douglass. The manager was friendly and provided excellent support to Lulu and his fellow staff. It was great to see how a great manager was able to make things easier for all his servers while providing service to the guest in a friendly Demeanor.

The Ember and Elm restaurant at the Heartsong resort has proved nonetheless to be a lasting and memorable experience that pushes the boundaries of modern service. Just by walking in, you are welcomed into the loving community of the staff who have fiery passion for each of their roles in this cuisine. The restaurant is cozy and designed beautifully, having calm, ambient lighting to soothe you in your dining experience. But what truly makes Ember and Elm so special? it would have to be the homemade, fresh food that is crafted and served by the skilled chef’s, who spend every moment perfecting each dish. I and my family ordered the classic American cheeseburger, in which we heard was delicious, and we were not by any means disappointed. My party couldn’t even speak to one another because we were so busy devouring the appetizing dishes we were served. The supervisor of the restaurant, Doug, came by and shared heartfelt words of his experience and goal as one of the heads. It’s clear that the staff here enjoys their work and spreading kindness to everyone person who passes by. That is the culture of Ember and Elm: to be extraordinary in making changes one at a time in their community. Me and my party will be returning to Ember and Elm by this extremely positive experience, and I can’t wait to see the amazing things this restaurant will do.

We arrived late Sunday October 22 and the restaurant was about to close. Whoever the chef and the woman working that shift just made our night amazing. We were traveling all day and starving. Everything in town was closed. I just ran in to see if they had any soup leftover and they were so accommodating and kind. We had the most delicious cheeseburgers of our lives with this amazing cheesecake. We ate by the beautiful fire pit. I wish I had the names of the employees but they deserve some recognition. We love visiting Tennessee, but their kindness just put it over the top. Thank you.

* now we came back a year later and Doug remembered us. We brought our family. Of course the food was amazing. The service exceptional. I love supporting businesses when I can see the staff is happy.

The food and the staff made our dining experience wonderful! It was my daughter's 4th birthday and they made her feel extremely special. They accommodated our large party with small children easily, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Service was great. Would have given 5 stars but we had to wait on water a couple times. Food was incredibly flavorful! My wife and I both ordered the duck, mother ordered shrimp and grits, and we ordered the deviled eggs for our appetizer. My wife hates deviled eggs, but couldn't get enough of the fried shrimp eggs! Again, would have given 5 stars, but both of our duck dishes were warm, not hot. The chef's made sweet potato purée for our 11 month old. It was great! The ambiance was 5 stars. Overall, we cannot wait to go back.

We had an excellent experience. Service was top tier and the food did not disappoint. The atmosphere is more casual than you would expect considering the price point but I wouldn’t consider this a mark against the overall experience. Enjoyed our appetizers and entrees, looking forward to our next dining experience. I definitely recommend dinner when visiting Heartsong.

The atmosphere is really calm and quiet, which I love, and the poblano soup was delicious. Our waitress Lulu was so accommodating and kind, we had a great experience.
