I have been to Dollywood since i was a child. Now that i am grown, i try to make time to visit with my friends occasionally. Dollywood is such a unique park, with rides and events, not just one or another. And the rides go anywhere from kiddie rides to rollercoasters. It is beautiful all the time, half the park is in shade of the forest, so it is even okay to go in mid summer. Most of the time you can just walk straight onto rides, no wait. We had a great time at Dollywood. The atmosphere is charming and pleasant. The rides are so much fun. Our young kids (6) loved the Firechaser coaster. And the older kids (9 and 10) loved the Wild Eagle. Our family thought the Dollywood Express steam engine train was ok, so if you are short on time skip this activity.
