The food is good enough but not the best bbq in Dollywood.We got two three little pigs sandwiches and a pig belly on a stick. Three two sandwiches were good but one definitely had more meat on it than the other and the pig belly on the stick was a lot smaller than the picture would have you think.
Flavor: 5 stars, Execution: 3I didn't understand "cafeteria style" when I walked in. What it means is everything comes in buffet-style chafing dishes, and is dishes up by the staff. A little reminiscent of Luby's, in Texas.Since the fried chicken was in a covered chafing dish, a lot of the crisp had died, but the (dark) meat was moist and the flavor was good. The pieces were small but I suspect any larger and they'd dry out.The mac and cheese was swimming...
Everyone there was super concerned, helpful, and accommodating of my safety concerning my gluten free needs. They went over every ingredient and label, checked in a million times to make sure I was comfortable with choices and how they handled things. Each person who handled anything that came to my tabled changed their gloves AND aprons and the chef carried it out to the table herself!A few of the hosts shared personal anecdotes about how serious they personally take allergies...
