This place was recommended 3 years ago - 1st year, it was so crowded & short staffed & the service reflected that. So, last year, being our 2nd year, service was better, but food was sub par @ best, but the grands love the bear shaped pancake/waffle, so we came back specifically for them. Now...this year...was the breaker for me. We're done, and we will not be back. The grits literally have no taste & I mean absolutely none, no, nada. I added 5 pats of butter & so much salt & and pepper, I'm sure it's what caused my BP spike & swelling issues later in the day. The hashbrown casserole; same thing - just no flavor. Albeit I'm sure the current egg pricing issues are affecting lots of places, but $8 for 2 eggs is just plain greed. And finally, last but certainly not least - the HUGE board of health & serv safe no-no's... an establishment NEVER sweeps & mops while customers are still seated & on top of that, the bleach intensity was so overwhelming, we were coughing & our noses & throats were burning, by the time we left. While I know just 1 parties opinions will certainly not affect one's business, it was just sad, as we'd truly tried to give this place a chance, over & over. After checking receipts & in spending over $150 for 3 meal seatings, it just isn't worth our time, effort & just plain waste of money to support this business. I will add that our server, Melanie, was fabulous. It's now almost 3 am & 2 of us have woken up to tonsils the size of goose eggs & severe throat irritation, probably due to the inhaling of bleach. Hopefully, this will not continue & us end up either sick or having to end our vacation early. I hope ya'll have a better experience than we did & the owner will address proper cleaning SOP's, especially when customers are still seated & eating.

When there are a lot of cars in the parking lot the restaurant must be great so the saying goes. There were two cars in the lot when we had breakfast at Smoky's.
The service was excellent. It was fast, pleasant, and efficient.
The problem here is the food. We had two omlettes and they tasted so much like the griddle that we couldn't finish them. If you don't know what that means you can order an omelet here and find out.
Plenty of parking, tables to seat big families, fast and efficient service, but they just didn't do well at all on the food that we were served.
Parking: Large tables for large groups and a good wait staff to keep things moving.

The pancakes were not cooked in the middle. The fried pancake bites were really good.
This place was not professional at all. I ordered a large Door Dash order and the restaurant forgot to include part of my order. I called and spoke Alexis to get a refund for what I did not receive and she was very rude and non-caring of the situation. She indicated she would inform the team but did not take down my information to ensure that I would get me money back. Still waiting on my refund. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!!!

Not sure is it was we came near closing on Christmas Eve, but the food was terrible!! Pancakes were hard, some were rubbery, casserole was bland; restaurant was out of orange juice, biscuits, and doesn't serve hot tea! The only highlight was our waiter who gave great service, and tried to tell us...on the DL...what was good and not worth taking a look, but we didn't listen. In hindsight we should've! Don't waste your time or money!!!
