“I am visiting Knoxville TN for work. I was looking for a local Kava bar to get a Kratom mocktail. I came in and immediately felt at home and very welcomed. The owner was super nice and knowledgeable. Her puppy Moose was too adorable! I had the Kratom Piña Colada, the NK Sunset, and the Summer Haze. All absolutely amazing. “We love this place! The themed nights are great, and you always feel safe here. We come every Monday night for line dancing. Jessica, the instructor is amazing! She makes everyone in the room feel welcome no matter your skill level. I actually look forward to Mondays now knowing I get to come here. Have a beer after a hard day's work and get to dance the day away. (Also, ladies. they have a really clean bathroom which is an absolute must for a bar that you frequent. The scenery aka the posters in the women's bathroom are probably my favorite part 😉😉)“

“the new owners definitely lost the magic. the brisket in the ramen used to be so good, now it looks like shaved lunchmeat. and the salmon bowl my partner always got wasnt quite up to par either. kimchi wasnt as flavorful. and they got rid of so many pinball machines(and im pretty sure they dont have a free pinball night anymore). they basically got rid of everything that made this place special. would still come for the drinks but i think ill go somewhere else to eat next time. i used to recommend this place to everyone but after going with family who had been there a couple years prior and were really looking forward to it..we left disappointed. if you havent been there before it would still be enjoyable, but knowing what it used to be the standard was set high&they didnt deliver.“

“Quaint little place, seems almost as if it were built in an alleyway between two buildings, which gives it its own charm and visual atmosphere. There's enough room for booth seating, and a porch area in the back. It's one of the closest bars to the local college campus, so the pricing is decent, the crowd is generally on the youthful side. Warning: the parking lot is oddly divided and some people have been booted for parking in the wrong section, just as for details if you're uncertain. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, one of the bartenders even let us sample his barbecue and home-made sauce, which was delicious.“

The ratatouille was also quite nice, though maybe a bit overpriced. The fromager came to our table and helped us select cheeses, which were amazing. French onion soup—what can I say? They know what they’re doing. Superb. The gateau Basque—wow. So creamy and flavorful, yet subtle. Even the espresso was great. Oh, and don’t forget the baguette and butter! Served warm in a paper wrapper…yum. Fantastic service from Nichole and the rest of the staff. The decor is beautiful Euro-bohemian. Cozy velvet booths, gorgeous art deco chandeliers, warm atmosphere. “Our family had the pleasure of dining at the Gatlinburg, TN location. We have a non-verbal, special needs son who uses a wheelchair. They made us feel welcomed by seating us at a perfect table that was accessible and yet out of the way to accommodate his wheelchair. Thank you to the seating hostess for accommodating us! 💜 Then we had a wonderful server by the name of Mark! He provided excellent service, made sure that our son felt welcomed, and made sure our son had a wonderful meal that he enjoyed very much! We explained our son's dietary restrictions and Mark did a excellent job at making recommendations for our son's meal. The excitement our son had from his first bite of the Neva's Potatoes was priceless! His face lit up with excitement, scooched his wheelchair closer, and leaned in closer over the potatoes. lol Kinda wished we had gotten extra potatoes for him to have again later. He was just as excited while eating his leftovers too! Thank you to our server Mark and Chesapeake's for the wonderful meal and accomodating our family. We highly recommend this restaurant! 🥰“
