We loved our dishes! Quail wrapped in bacon (10/10) Fried Green Tomatoes (8/10) BBQ grits (10/10) French fries (10/10)
Absolutely amazing, we ordered alittle bit of everything, it was all amazing. Very unique take of Southern food. Fried pork rinds and queso, great grouper tacos, and smoked wings. Huge smoked bologna sandwich. Honestly the best restaurant in Athens, probably Huntsville included. Family of 4 came out less than $100.

The Southern Table offers great food and drinks in an inviting atmosphere with friendly service. Customers highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, which are delicious, and the fried chicken and blackened catfish, praised for being outstanding. The green beans and hand-cut fries are also noted as excellent. The menu features a variety of tasty options, including dishes like the blackened catfish with garlic cheese grits and green beans, which many find surprisingly delicious despite their usual preferences. The Shrimp Ceviche and Old Bay crackers remain popular favorites, with customers describing them as super tasty. The Oysters are also considered phenomenal. The medium rare hamburger and lacy fries are cooked perfectly, with fries being especially delicious. Some guests have enjoyed the pork belly potatoes as an appetizer, though they do not resemble burnt ends as described. The duck breast served with smoky cauliflower mash and asparagus has a well-balanced cherry sauce, with crispy skin and tender meat, though portion sizes can be small. The lemon crush drink is enjoyable, and the absence of salt and pepper shakers on the tables highlights the natural flavor of the food, which is not salty. Desserts like the lava cake with ice cream and strawberry sauce are highly praised for their richness. Overall, the service is very friendly, and many guests look forward to returning to explore more of the menu. Despite some minor discomfort with seating, the cozy atmosphere and delicious options make The Southern Table a popular spot for a satisfying meal.
